@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. Now I know that I can share the link with Fredo6 on the Animator thread so he can download the file and look at it (to hopefully identify the problem I have been having trying to generate a video). You might also try generating an Animator video and see what results you get.

Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

also take a look at "connect" tool from thomthom's quadface tools.. that gives you greater control on number/pinching/cornering of loops/topology!

thanks yeah I kept cleaning it up to no avail I was making the lines and edges look cleaner but I was shooting myself in the foot because I kept giving edges more than 3 faces, but all is well now thanks for the reply. moral of the story ..... Only an Edge can make you make a face....

The problem I have with the added reference points is that they are visually confusing, sometimes the proximity of an inference point and the end point I want to draw from is so close they are indistuishable, this leads to wasted time when I have to correct the bloomin' thing.

"why buying a lame/old graphics card today? if disabling "Window > Preferences > OpenGL > Use Hardware Acceleration" fixes the problem, the OGL support of the used video driver and/or the OGL performance of the used GPU is flaky. Drop the card and buy something capable as e.g. a GTX 960 (or better) ...besides the case is to small or the PSU to weak." I'm not the IT guy at work. The IT department purchases and installs hardware. I'm no expert on computers or graphics cards. What do you mean "the case is too small or the PSU too weak"?

@oceanembers said: Rich, what was the plugin you used to model that sink? With the maya/max/blender/etc. style manipulator? I feel like I'm missing out on a massively useful tool here... I used Vertex Tools for the modelling and SubD for the organic form at the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Welke versie gebruik je, 32 of 64 bit ? Persoonlijk heb ik een oudere PC en geen enkel probleem. Misschien draaien er ook andere programma, op de achtergrond. Gewoon alles even checken

Even with all it's flaws, I'd only go back to Autocad from Layout if I was really forced to do so. And rest assured that I'm a very very active critic of Layout... (But then again I'm also an active critic of my mother, my father, my wife, my three kids, and myself...)
