I have way too many to list here. After watching more of Box’s videos, I think I have all of the ones he uses. However, I am not positive. I look forward to your suggestions/recommendations.

Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

SketchUp by nature is destructive when it comes to geometric changes. It's only course correction is the undo stack. To get around this my preferred method is to have a series timestamped files that constitute as snapshots. So rollback is easier. If I'm working in a modular fashion I use saved components. As an example I have a 00-master.skp with all the components. These components are also saved a separate files in a working directory next to the master. If I work on a component file I can reload changes in the master. My main objective to keep the master file as the target file and everything else piped to it. Not sure it that helps in regards your workflow. My approach has been to treat the master file as assembly point of the work I do in other files. If I do make minor changes in the master I save that back to the components working directory as either an overwrite or as a new timestamped version.

I have been told that the classic graphics engine works better too on a pc. Open GL Versus direct X, what to make of this I do not know but it's a pain in the petunia's.

@alexpacio2013 said in Discussion - object is not a manifold solid !?: I guarantee you that Bool tools 2 works and works better than the standard tools even among solids You're preaching to the choir on that point. I don't use nor even recommend the native Solid Tools. I guess I have no problem, even for complex objects, with making them solids so I get predictable results when using Bool Tools 2 or Eneroth Solid Tools.

You don't open .scflicense files Download the file to your device Open SketchUp Go to Tools > Fredo Collection > RoundCorner > License... Click Activate and navigate to the location of the downloaded license file and click Open

@TIG I did the usual repair, tried initialy numerous times to install the 'bundle', each time it was reported that the install went well TT library had to be completed seperately but this was NOT an issue. The copy and paste method worked. Odd, I know.

@bbergem @Dave-R Hello everyone, I'm working on a hotel project in which I want to develop anamorphic views based on images and models/objects. For the objects, I don't have any complexities, so it's up to me to divide them up into multi-objects and position them to create an illusion effect as far as the real thing, depending on the angle of view. On the basis of images, importing them in projected form works but is nevertheless complex and sometimes difficult to implement. I haven't been able to find a plugin that allows anamorphic projection of an image onto surfaces depending on the viewing angle, am I wrong? Would there be a solution for simply making these projections, a bit like what blender offers? https://youtu.be/BgbLXqqaHEI?si=NUWdJPZY2sE55qvg Help would be greatly appreciated and ideally the development of a dedicated plugin for even more solutions with Sketchup. Thanks in advance

@Christian_33 You can taper a curved cylinder by using selective edge welding. [image: 1732275412362-cone.gif]

Hi everyone, it took several years, but I figured it out! It's one of the most hidden features in SketchUp. If you want to export an image, draw on it with crayons or edit it in Photoshop ...or AI and then map it back, you must activate a scene with a saved camera and then click to create a new photomerge -> the vanishing points will be set according to the last scene. Then you can select the edited visualization and project it precisely onto the model as a texture. Amazing, right? It never works otherwise if a saved camera isn't activated first. The second hidden trick is equally clever. Did you think that exporting 2D DWG with edges colored by layers only works through layout? Miracle, it works in the sketchup too. Just set edges color by material and have Color by Tag activated in layers/tags, then create a Scene with saved Styles (+update the scene to save the style), keep the scene active and export 2D DWG. Aaand is colored. If the style isn't saved in the active scene, it won't work. Ns.

@Box said in Faces Splitting Up at random: Go View/Hidden geometry. This should show you where your faces are split. I am using sketchup for years. This was the greatest tip that I've ever seen. It eased all my pain that I've experienced through out the tough years passed struggling with random triangles.
