Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

not sure what works for extensions, certainly Sketchuaction pluginstore plugin and Extension Warehouse should do for plugins / extensions, licensing (for PAID content) is going to be your issue though... for models, etc. you can try: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=rob_cloud

If you want a 'crib', then why not look at my [somewhat old but still working]: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=OBJexporter It exports the SKP's geometry, and deals with 'containers', transformations etc... There are several 'exporters' in the PluginStore which may have additional/better clues...

@ernstsblog said: I habe the same question. To me this looks as if this is no longer possible in the make version. You might have to buy the pro version to change options. That is clearly spelled out in the link I shared in response to the OP's question.

For me it takes up more screen space in it pinned state and if it's not locked when the mouse moves away it rolls away till I mouse back over it. The problem for me so far is working with colors and maps and seeing the results, make changes, ect. I have to go back and rollover the area to work with the dialog box or lock it in place and have it take up screen space. For me it's about time, it was quicker before just moving my mouse and seeing what I need to see or make changes and it did not affect my screen space. I could work with it rolled up or not, I could work /render around that space no matter if its rolled up or not. I am old school Autocad DOS and still today I move faster typing/using shortcut and not so much the button menu is newer versions till I get use to the new set up and find what I like to use till the next version. I can jump in to the new version and keep working till I get time or I get use to the new changes. I guess it's my fault, I got on the post because I wanted to work on a project I needed done quickly and I just started working with it in 2016. I should have done it in 2015 where everything was already set up. I guess I need a second screen...a new graphic card to support 2 screen... a newer computer...... Thanks to all of you, I will need to read more of these post and try and understand all the changes and rework my work flow.

If this is a question about using Vray, you should have posted it there. Do you want me to move it?

For future Block that will not explode in Acad you have to go into block editor and bring up preferences and turn on the edit block check box.

@driven said: it sound like you use 'Align Axis' which is a temporary state by design... for a post import ruby fix, you need to clarify what file types you refer to as the vary greatly... john Maybe that would explain why I haven't ever seen the axes move on their own. If I want to change a component's axes location, I use Change Axes which is not temporary.

@cotty said: I'll try to be clearer, too (if a step in the SU-file is not clear, let me know...) how are you able to fill the intersected lines to get you from the non filled outline in step 3 of your model to the filled (gray) road in your step 4? thanks

@dave r said: Probably Jim's custom toolbars thing. yes sir, i can confirm they work the same i managed to export my custom toolbar 100% working across SU8/SU15/SU16 migration ~~but unfortunately i think if OP did'nt set Jim's custom toolbars in SU15 he may have nothing to copypaste in SU16.. maybe still a good idea to be ready for SU17 ~~ EDIT: i miss the post with the screenshot, so.. yes i can also confirm that: the buttons are from Jim's plugin. to migrate that successfully, you should copypaste (from '15 plugins folder to '16 plugin folder) the file toolbars.rb and the folder "toolbars" into the "toolbars" folder you can find the text files which actually control the toolbar creation/naming. hope this can help!

mmm.. not sure what you are trying to achieve.. that's very bad topology.. @cotty said: Why don't you use the good geometry (drop vertices) and apply the texture to it (e.g. thrupaint)? +1 on this.. i also would run quadface tools on it to mark out the diagonals of the pseudo-quads

Alternatively - if you don't want to color everything by layer [i.e. only some objects to get their layer's color], then you can use Ruby to get the layer of the selected object[s] and then get the layer.color, from that you can make a new material [named after the layer] using that color's RGB specification, and apply that new material onto the selected object[s]. By naming the material after the layer you can test if that material has been made previously, and reuse the existing material, rather than make a new material every time... I that's the requirement then I can easily post a code-snippet to do this...
