    BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

Drop the card and buy something capable as e.g. a GTX 960 (or better) ...besides the case is to small or the PSU to weak." I'm not the IT guy at work. The IT department purchases and installs hardware. I'm no expert on computers or graphics cards. What do you mean "the case is too small or the PSU too weak"?

    I have a Macbook and have these two OSes ... installed win on Bootcamp ... MY ANSWER : WINDOWS it is far more better ... faster on processing commands ... better graphic speed .. better plugin support .. etc ..

    Welke versie gebruik je, 32 of 64 bit ? Persoonlijk heb ik een oudere PC en geen enkel probleem. Misschien draaien er ook andere programma, op de achtergrond. Gewoon alles even checken

    Even with all it's flaws, I'd only go back to Autocad from Layout if I was really forced to do so. And rest assured that I'm a very very active critic of Layout... (But then again I'm also an active critic of my mother, my father, my wife, my three kids, and myself...)

    Personally I'm not a fan of the trays either. However it is possible to create separate trays and position them as you want. For example I have a permanent floating tray with only Entity Info.

If you want to move entities to a specific location relative to the origin, use [x,y,z]. If you want to move things to the ground plane, you can use [,,0]. What ever point you grab with the Move tool will be located at the ground plane.

    Thanks guys, it was not a problem until recently and I am certain something has changed, this is a problem only with v 2016 rather than prior versions. Something I should have mentioned. BTW, these 'arcs' are several feet across.

    That is most likely a result of the way the author of the plugin programmed the HTML for the web dialog, not a SketchUp issue per-se. It is possible to set things up in HTML so that a web page refuses to resize its contents.

    Pull down or offsetting ? That is not the same thing! Scale * 1000 Seems works with Projection by Didier Bur But you must repair some little gaps ! [image: 8Uty_proj.jpg]
