Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

@charevir56 said: If I understood what you are after, I will do this way: uncheck the shadows setting in axonometric scenes scene with the shadow setting: before set the shadows setting turn off all layer and set day/time/light/dark/... and check all setting. Every time you select this scene your working area will be cleaned. But if you want to use this scene to add the shadows to the current view of one of your axonometric scene, Set the shadows setting and uncheck Camera position and visible layer. In 1st cases when you update the shadows setting you won't see anything, but when you select one of your axonometric scenes they'll show the shadows setting. In 2nd case the shadow scene will add the shadows to the current scene In the same way you can create a scene to clean the shadows: turn off the shadow and check all setting but the visible layer. This scene will turn off the shadow in wherever scene Is selected. Attached file Sorry for my English. thanks, charevir. your English may not be perfect but the explanation is very clear! I have always being able to set this up but then could not all of a sudden. go figure that. the file helps a lot too. I am sure others will benefit from your explanation. best regards.

They are definitely guidelines. However, I solved the problem by changing to the wireframe option in the Styles menu, select all, then View>Hide and switching back to the default styles. Lines gone.

Please clarify what you mean by "how I'd like". I'm the author of the Angular Dimension and co-author of Angular Dimension 2 both available in the plugin store here, so I may be able to help once I know what you need.

It can be done without a plugin or extension. First, the material needs to be applied to the faces and not the group or component. Expose Hidden Geometry, right click on a single face and choose Texture>Position. Rotate it as needed. Then turn off Hidden Geometry, use the Materials eye dropper to sample the material where you just rotate it and then immediately click the paint bucket on the surface to apply that material orientation. Alternatively, you can apply the material to another face in the model that would get the same orientation and sample that before applying it to the curved surface. I used these methods for the rush seat on the chairs and the legs on the table. [image: 11416850996_695e552ea0_z.jpg] And on the curved surfaces on this post. [image: 8511785423_9b3ca804d5_z.jpg]

try if installing the Windows runtime libraries required by SU v2016/2017 again helps: • Microsoft .NET Framework v4.5.2+ • Microsoft Visual C++ Redist. 2015 • Microsoft Universal C Runtime Update f. Win 7/8.x always run these installers (as well as the SU setup) by "r-click > Run as Admin".

Thank you. I guess when I do want to erase specific lines, I don't find it to be a problem. Since I do most of this sort of work on my PC at home, I'm using Paint.NET as my image editor but I have PS on my work computer and PSE on my MacBook Pro. The process is the same. I don't often find a need to erase overlapping edges. The thick ones mask the thin ones anyhow. Well, except in some sketchy styles but those tend to have really loose lines and having multiple lines generally works. [image: 13189648465_a36b29b396_b.jpg]

if a smart phone can understand speech almost flawlessly, why can't the same be done with sketchup? instead of wasting time looking for a component in a custom library's long list, just say what you want...and bingo, you're done. even if you use the library's search utility, it still takes time to type.....plus the search utility times-out and acts finicky.

@rocketron1 said: Looking at the installing tutorial on the Sketchucation site, it seems it is directed to an older version than 2017. Please provide me the proper directions for installation with Sketchup Pro 2017. Thank you, Ron Unlike all previous SketchUp versions, v2017 changed the installation process slightly - and of course this applies to ALL RBZ installations - not just SCF's... To install ANY Extension's RBZ, in v2017 you need to do the following... [ Note this is now exactly the same in PC & MAC ! ] Use Sketchup, menu Window > Extension Manager - then use the dialog's red-button to 'Install Extension'... Find the RBZ, and select it to install it - answering in the affirmative at any prompt dialogs... Installation done

Riccardo, Perhaps see this thread: (sdmitch was gracious to private message me a custom solution for my needs) http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323%26amp;t=57803 Perhaps sdmitch will see this thread, and allow or share the same plug-in for you, as I think this may be what you need to sort out your lmported model layers. (Maybe pm him?) Charlie

did you have installed under another user account than the used one? Try if running SU by "r-click > Run as Admin" once helps already.

I found a useful plugin from TIG: http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TIG_save_all_components. (before doing this, use the purge plugin!) For now this works well. And in Layout I automated the date and drawingnr., this saves me already a tiny bit of time. Also the generate report function in Sketchup is now useful for me to make BOMs. Is there a possibility to use the model info (. skep model) to put it in a text field in layout (such as name and description)? Or is this a wish list thing? And I always select vector rendering and background of, is it possible to set this as default Or is this still wishlist?

@box said: Very quick with Curviloft. Thanks Box, I knew Curviloft was the key. I haven't really used it much, as you could probably tell. I tried several attempts with it but I was pressing the wrong button. I ended up using the old "join the dots method" but that is exactly what I was looking for. Just gotta press the right button. That is going to come in very handy.....the learning curve continues. Legend.
