Some of my model face is reversed when import to MAX. Help
-
I know that i can reverse face inside sketchup but all of my face is flipped correctly.

I checked it with monochrome style and they are all turned white
But when i import it into 3ds max to apply some uvs, some of the object is flipped.
Green show face is backward.
and this is what happen when i port it to stingray, all the backface is invinsble and i can see the inside of the object.

I relly don't understand how 3ds max import work my model to that. Is there anyway i can fix this? I can send the sample of my model if you want.

Can you share the SKP file? Or at least show us the face settings for the selected style.

Never saw Max upturning faces. Check you SU style, maybe it's 'hidden line mode' or front and back color are both white.

Here is my skp file.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-YXP5IFQe59VzhMX1VjUWNrdm8/view?usp=sharingMy style is the default style, the hidden line mode is off. i just turn on the monochrome style to check if my model have any backface showing on the outside. Its just super weird to see some object is fliped in 3ds max even though they have the same material and all correctly face outside.

your model is fine in sketchup and the face orientation is correct.
i saved it as version 7 and imported in max 2014 as skp.. it works perfectly, no face flipping at all.
that said, i suppose the problem can be related to newer versions of max/sketchup reader.
