Let me see if it is still here... Yes it is. You should still consider doing it yourself, otherwise the next time you will have to go trough the same scenario. facade 3-3 ASD.skp Edit Added 2013 version facade 3-3 ASD.skp facade 3-3 ASD.skp

I did a quick test. Unfortunately, it seems to me the image quality is pretty bad in exporting at high resolution. Here's a small crop of a larger render. I exported the full image at 5000px (both originals are PNG, saved as jpg in another program for upload here.) It appears any time SU has to compress or enlarge the image, the image quality suffers. You might have better luck using a rendering engine, most can handle rendering large textures with much better results. [image: EYh6_grace-interior_v6b-Scene6.jpg] [image: fYDe_grace_st-from-png.jpg]

a guess without seeing the .skp... the group isn't hidden.. the geometry inside the group is hidden.. when using 'unhide all', it will only affect the hidden geometry in the current level. click on the group in outliner.. edit the group via the Edit menu.. then unhide.

Tricky steps of cones! But some efforts for the same result than shown on my previous video! (and you can't modify the result of the holes by editing a component! ...Try the SuForyou plugins above! Very powerful and versatile! [image: suforyou.jpg] Some fractal forms [image: simili.jpg] [image: simili1.jpg] and others concepts [image: suforyou2.jpg] [image: suforyou3.jpg] Very pleasant plugins! Zaha recommends SuForyou!

You won't find anywhere a list with these therms because some of them are not even in the dictionary . They came out of necessity. Usually I just google the words or have a search on the forums. If I can't find anything about it, I just ask. That is what I will continue to do.........just threw it out as a suggestion. Be prepared for me to pounce !!

Really the only way to control line width in exported raster images is to change the export size. The smaller the exported image, the thicker the lines will appear. You can adjust profile edge weight in Styles but that only deals with some of the edges. You might play with the Straight Line styles and see if they provide you with something use can use. The alternative would be to spring for the Pro version so you can export vector lines and adjust their weight in some other application or go through LayOut. Thank you. I'll do my research about doing what you suggest. No worries about terminology, it's a necessary evil, and learning the meaning of these terms will prove useful in the long run. And nevertheless, i appreciate all of you for your time responding.

Hi Martin, hi folks. If you observe the text that SketchUp (SU) is showing in the status bar, to the left of the dimension window, you will read, immediately after you select the From Scratch Tool: Select the first corner of the Sandbox or input the grid spacing of the Sandbox. SU is constantly trying to help with these messages when selecting and when executing the different steps of any operation. Just ideas.

@krisidious said: Not sure... I don't have it. Did you have pro and then the trial ran out? Seems like you wouldn't have had enough time for your trial to run out though. You might try installing with the internet disabled. Just a thought. That would be pretty irritating and would push a bunch of people out of the range of Sketchup and that would be a mistake IMHO. Actually I installed it without being connected to the internet. I should do the otherwise now, hehe, installing it while my net is still active. @jason_maranto said: I had the same issue when I installed using my removable USB wireless adapter -- if I removed the adapter I would get the "SketchUp cannot start due to a licensing error" message. What I found to be true in my case was I needed some type of network hardware active in order to start SketchUp -- but did not need to be actually connected to the internet. Something to do with the SketchUp license being tied to that particular machine as identified via a MAC address. In my case I had some Ethernet ports on my computer that I usually keep disabled (because they are not connected to anything) -- by enabling them and re-licensing SketchUp I was able to remove the USB wireless adapter and still start SketchUp (because the Ethernet ports supply the needed MAC address, even though they are not connected to anything). Best, Jason. You are saying really technical stuff to me. Please explain step by step what you did.

Try changing the OpenGL setting for Hardware Acceleration. You may have to quit and restart SketchUp after that.

@ccaponigro said: I would argue that having a well placed component origin is critical for swapping components later as well. And Dave R what was that slick little tool you used to create the countersink for the bolts? Indeed! You are correct about well-placed component origins. The blog post I did after the one I linked to demonstrates that. The tool I used to create the counterbored holes is the Drill tool from the Wudworx tool set.
