Solo, thank's for the "Sculptris", reference. Although I'll probably never us it for my primary work, it's really fun to use! It reminds me of a program from about '96, by Dazzle, maybe. But so much easier!

Good to hear. I have the same problem...too many plugins that is. I actually went through my plugins folder before migrating it over to 8 to see what was in there....lots of buried treasures I'd forgotten about, and even some oldies back from SketchUp 4! [edit] Ha! Dear John, The .sat file was created using AutoDesk's Inventor 11. If you want to weld the 40 segments of the circle, then soften the group first. After softening, Chris Fullmer's tool for finding the centre point can be used. Also note, the SU model needs to be scaled by 0.01 (I forgot to do this before posting). Hope this helps. Regards, Bob

Hi, I used Chris Fullmers Center on Origin and than exploded it once and all was normal. Charly jumping sit eplan.skp

It's not the nesting, the component bends perfectly on my system. Select the component, hit the bending tool, select the straight line on the red axes, it should turn blue, then select the curve, it turns blue. Wait a bit and you get the blue and green formers, when they are the way you want, hit enter. And wait. [image: Bent.JPG]

Not sure if this helps, but I have been using SU on an external hard drive for a few years now. When I reconnect the drive, I often have to go into the drive directory to use the application (as opposed to the start menu) but otherwise it works just fine.

In Skype, it is easy to share windows (screens) and should he have any problems after watching those tutorial videos, he could still get some help with his issues. I know this off topic (broadly defined), but it may help you to know that some PDF's produced from CAD programs can sometimes be retrieved in vectors / layers. I've used Inkscape for this, in the past. The results usually need some clean-up, but its often a good start point.
