Component library. Vers 7.0 :"Share Model" greyed out
-
This is a slight departure from the original question. Should I have just started another thread?
The option under File ---> 3D Warehouse ---> Share Model ... is greyed out and non functioning. This issue is commented on a few times here but never seems to be resolved.
Is there a fix?disregard the following. it is related to the above.
I've been away for a while. Did this change? I added three models to the library some time back. Just some simple stereo speakers.
I went in to try to edit one of them and was unable. I tried to upload another model of a concrete post fence and was denied. Am I missing something obvious? All the links seem to point to using "building maker for building models for google earth". I did not do this last time.
I just uploaded a sketchup file to the library.I'm in the "my models" window and signed on. But there don't seem to be any options for uploading anywhere on the page that do not bring you to "building models for google earth".

Hi Brad,
What are you trying to upload (what file format) and more importantly where (and from which application)?
If you want to share skp files, you can only do that from SketchUp to the 3D Warehouse. From its web interface, you can only upload geolocated kmz files.

I see. It should have been more obvious to me but the problem appearst to be that the "share model" option in my installation is greyed out for some reason.
I've gone back to the instructions here..

...and am doing everything properly. Is it a problem with my installed program or am I missing something?
postscript...
I found this on the forum and attempted it. The option is still grayed out.

OK. I've got it working again. In case anyone else has this problem, here's what I did:
- In WinXP, open control Panel and click to Security Center
- Click Internet Options.
- Choose Trusted Sites
- Click on the Sites Button.
- Type in the box "http://sketchup.google.com". The click the Add button.
It worked for me.
Thanks to all,
Tom
