Sketchup make 2015 on MAC OS Yosemite.
When exporting animations I can only select what type of compression and whether there is a backround or not. All other options are greyed out. So I'm forced to loop back to the to the starting scene, stuck on 24 fps, and locked in at greyed out aspect ratio, etc. All previous 'non pro' versions allowed users more control in animation exports. I cannot find anything written anywhere from others with a similar problem which makes me wonder if this may be rare or just me. It's not the end of the world but if the settings are not supposed to be this way then i'd like to know. Should I check for update? Are there any worth checking for? Should I simply redownload?

Here's what the SketchUp Knowledge Center has to say on Animation Export.

I habe the same question. To me this looks as if this is no longer possible in the make version. You might have to buy the pro version to change options.

That is clearly spelled out in the link I shared in response to the OP's question.
