yes but when i select a part of the surface, it takes all the surface with that yellow dots, so it takes all points up your plugin will be a nice one i think, may the force be with you! @thomthom said: Make your selection of Faces and Edges before activating the Smoove tool, then you can use irregular shape. I am currently working on a Vertex Editing plugin with soft selection - but it's still a bit to go before it's done.

Hi, you can try the "rantexpos.rb" plugin. Scroll down, they are in alphabetical order. Be careful it's a bit buggy if I remember well.

You can't read the data from the VCB. You can only set it's value.

@xrok1 said: @unknownuser said: My Lattice-izer script is available at crai Depot but it's also here viewtopic.php?p=72126#p72126 sorry to be off subject but this reminds me of something, why aren't all the rubies availiable here? is there a reason someone hasn't put them all together hosted here? Some of the older scripts like Lattice-izer predate the forum, but are available at Didier's crai Depot. If a need comes up here I sometimes publish a script again here - like Lattice-izer - however, many of us have many loads of scripts that are either superseded or specialized and don't often 'emerge' from the gloom...

I already knew that script. But the one that I need was something like that: Imagine you to create a component with several subgroups. For each one of those subgroups you put in a different Layer. You create other components. And each one of those components has several subgroups, each one of them in different layers, but they are layers in common with other components. Each one of those objects is totally without material. Then now, you want to put several materials in several layers. The plugin render Vray have that capacity, but doesn't work with subojects, this work just with objects that are in the root of the outliner. Thanks for your answer.

Thanks for trying, guys... Much appreciated... I've also played with the Shapebender script, but I can't get it to work... I was hoping that some of the ruby-gurus had an ace in their sleeves... Well... I'll keep hoping someone will make this script - some day...

yes, it works great with walkabout3D too. maybe adam could provide an fbx importer as part of lightup since he exports to it and obviously has a handle on the format.

Of course, "save as"! Such a simple resolution. I do it all the time, I can't believe it never occurred to me to try it. Thanks again for a great forum.

@sugolini said: Thank you! Now I've a strange problem with splines. I select, for example, uniform B-spline. Then I click one point in my drawing. It seems that I can move the pointer in each direction except directions with angle less than 15 degrees or so on with respect to x and y axis. I hope you got the point. It's quite unnerving, because if I want to connect a point A with a point B and such a segment forms an angle smaller than nearly 15° with the x-axis, then the pointer is attracted by a point on the x-axis! In BezierSpline, I use the default snapping and inferencing of Sketchup. So the best is to follow the method given by Mitcorb. Fredo
