Hi Box Yes I can use two finger zoom, but then again, I have to move the hand away from the keyboard... and I actually think the touch ring works better for me, than the two finger zoom. I think I'm just asking for something that isn't possible... Jorgensen

I assume you are referring to the SketchUp model in a viewport. You can set the model to not be scaled when you change the size of the viewport and then drag the edges of the viewport which will effectively be the same as panning. The best thing to do is change the camera position in SketchUp, update the scene and update the reference. It is possible to double click in the viewport and pan the model but it generally is a bad idea to do so. It disconnects the viewport from the scene in SketchUp.

the difference between my examples (hide.skp) and your model (save.skp) is the parent is a component in mine whereas yours is a group. It appears groups can't pass down a value, but rather they need to reference the parent.

There are several plugins that could help you. fredo's bezier spline and thomthom's bezier surface spring to mind, and will give you the functions you need in this instance. Unfortunately, Sketchup does not have any native support for curves, so there won't be a way to bring in the models and keep 100% of the editability they had in revit.

Well, Sketchup seems to think that you have two different IP addresses. Do you have peer blocker or something similar running? perhaps some firewall?

Bo, make sure the face you are selecting is oriented correctly. 1001bit windows fail if the face is reversed.
