I had this problem once as well. I ended up unlinking the file, linking it to another, unlinking again and linking back to the correct (updated) SU model file. That worked as the LO didn't want to update the file with the updated model file with the same name as the one used in LO. So I solved it "old school" style.

I needed to print a facade that was not aligned to the axis. So I had to rotate the whole model. I find this quite annoying and see it as a missing function in Sketchup, even though it was the first time I needed it 😄

If only TIG's script worked with dynamic section cuts! But I fully understand that it's impossible. Apart from this, it is a brilliant script and I love it!

I am currently running a Dell M90. It is the laptop before the new M series. I have it completely maxed out and it is a beast. I have thrown everything at it and have not had one issue. It is incredibly fast. It have a quadro card in it at 512mb and makes a work of difference. My only complaint is my back....with the brick of a charging cord it weighs in at over 14lbs! Now add in all the other stuff I carry (magazines, mouse, graphics tablet, etc.) and it is ALOT to lug around. is it worth it? YES, it is just a powerful as most high end desktops. Make sure you get a good backpack or briefcase that will hold a 17" laptop (not a lot of choices). I opted for a backpack as it is a little easier to fit more crap in it;)

I'm thinking about to try and use 3dtext instead. But until further I'll have a workaround where I modify the position by x,y, z axis. This is not perfect, because the texts don't have the same width.

That should not be a problem, because I'm adding my own attribute:
entity.set_attribute ("TM_area", "TM_ID", "TM_ID " + target.entityID.to_s)

that I use to keep track of objects.

You are deleting entities from the active entities list while you are iterating over the same list. In other words, you are scrambling the list whilst travesing it. Don't do that. Collect all your enities into a seperate list. Then interate through that list and delete them. CB.
