      Hi

Before I have been able to run more than one instance of Sketchup on the same machine, but not I get this error

"another instance of sketchup using the same license is running on this network (xxx.xxx.xxx.).

I sometimes open a new session to copy some objects to a 'clean' file.

Can anyone confirm that it's no longer possible? or is it a local error?

      Thanks πŸ˜„

That is strange. I regularly have two or more instances of SketchUp open at the same time on the same machine. It works just fine. I'd guess it's some sort of local thing.

          Hi Dave

Yes it's strange. I have done so before.

I have just found out, that I can have multiple instances of Sketchup open if I disable my internet access - strange...

Are you trying to mix different licensed versions (Make, Trial, ...)?

              Hi cotty

No - I have only one instance of sketchup installed. Sketchup 8.0 pro, Commercial, Single-User.

I also run multiple instances... no issue.

And I'm sure I have been able to run multiple instances before, but now I can't.

                  Strange πŸ˜•

No changes to your system or network? Are you running sketchup as administrator?

                      Hi Kristoff

I can't say that I haven't changed anything. I't been a while since I tried to have more instances....

But I can't figure out what kind of changes has this impact.

Well, Sketchup seems to think that you have two different IP addresses. Do you have peer blocker or something similar running? perhaps some firewall?
