You did a nice job of getting Curviloft installed correctly however you missed installing the required LibFredo6 files as indicated in the thread where you got Curviloft. [image: f489_cloft.png] Install it as nicely as you did Curviloft and restart SketchUp and you'll be in good shape.

Depending of the form of the containers! Better is use the primitives given by the program Sketchyphysics itself else the key is to fragmented the containers! For example the violet purple box above is fragmented in 5 ones: bottom, left, right, front, behind Static mesh is only for avoid containers volumes to fall

Some of the more recent AutoCAD programs allow a fbx or obj export. That could be a better way of getting a good transition. I could do it for you, if you can't with your version.

I am looking for the same thing. Even though I have the scene delay set to 0, SketchUp still pauses between the scenes. Kinda like a car coming to a stop sign - slow down, stop, speed up. Are there any plugins that will override this pausing?

I believe he means how many axis the CNC you'll use has. A standard arcade cabinet can be done with a 2 Axis CNC. Dave does some kool work.

It would be a whole lot easier to show you how to do this if we had the SKP file which you could attach. I would take care of the off-axis thing first. You should be able to rotate it the required angle to get it to align with the axes. You might find turning on hidden geometry will help you with that. A guideline parallel to the axis closest to the axis on which the cylinder is aligned could be useful, too. If the cylinder is a component or group and it is rotated inside its bounding box, open it for editing and rotate just the geometry. Once you have the cylinder aligned, close the component or make it one. Then the Move tool will make it simple to rotate the cylinder to the standing position. Hover over the component/group and look for the red crosses. Move the cursor until it shows a protractor over one of the crosses on the side. Click and rotate the component/group into the vertical position. Placing the plate will be easiest if it is a component. You can move the component's axes so its origin is centered on the bottom of the plate. The origin will be the insertion point for the plate. Put a couple of crossing guidelines at the bottom of the cylinder such that they intersect at the center. Import the plate into the cylinder model and drop it at the intersection of the guidelines. After you have the first plate in place you can make a stack of them by using the copy function of Move to make a linear array.

As far as I know, SuSolid is the only plugin that can display you collisions between solid entities from different subgroups/subcomponents. The Solid Intersection tool will make your model looks transparent and will show you intersections in solid green color with solid red edges,so very visible. It also has an intersection counter,so you know if there are some small intersections that maybe you can miss. The plugin will also help you a lot to check and make all your components solid.

Also try exporting entire model by small parts using export 3D > Options > Export Selected Only. Hope this helps!

Going to post this question here as it on the same subject. So 3d scanned a panel ready to unfold but currently the mesh is to complicated to unfold. Tried terrain reshaper but it does not seem to change. Trying to achieve a more consistent mesh which is not to time consuming to unfold. .skp is 8mb so put a share on dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/s/ur1su2eyv9eutyn/side%20panel.skp Multiple cookie or bottle of Scotch donation is someone can help!! Thanks all for your responses. I ended up using Scan2CAD with very good results. I found that importing a raster image, converting it to a vector, and editing the vector was easier. [image: WI1y_OrchidCapture.PNG]
