Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

can you not also select the hidden items as a selection set and either right click select Unhide, or, if the right click menu does not contain Unhide, then you would select from top menu Edit and select Unhide?

I've given up on Photomatch for birds eye view images. The lens angle, and the fact that the imagery is cropped - makes it pretty much impossible. I do it by hand now; load the imagery as a background watermark set the AOV to about 6-8 degrees hide anything other that key features of the model pan/zoom by hand to get an approximate match. finish off in post

I did add one new plug-in/ruby (tt_uv_toolkit.rb) but that has long since been deleted - I'm just trying to get it working with a clean installation and new window! All signs of the "old" stuff have been moved to another drive, the main hard drive has had all traces (that I can find) of SU and associated files removed. I render files with Podium (which continues to work as expected) Thanks for your reply.

@box said: [image: plant1.gif] That had me slowing down the first time I saw that sign. (I studied in England for three years) I had a series of very amusing images in my head as I saw the sign - and I do believe I was looking around half-way expecting to see a herd of giant plants crossing.

Sorry, but I don't understand your problem. The plugin has two options to choose from: "copy to path nodes" will place your components on every node of your path indipendently from the distance; "copy to spacing" will place your components each other at the input distance indipendently from the nodes. Yes, when you go to export the animation, there is the "ok" box, the "cancel" box and also an "options" box. Click on the options box and you can change the resolution in there. Chris

Yea - the revit system is awkward. I'm not to happy about the Autosave system in SU - too many people at work completely ignore the "Autosave_" bit of a filename and use that to continue working on. Make it very hard to know which files can be removed.

You can quite easily change the location of the sun by selecting the location tab in the Model info pallette under the window menu. see atttached just type in 180 in the box to rotate the sun through 180 degrees or as required. [image: 8Lae_NORTH.jpg]

There has been several discussions on this on the Thea forum http://www.thearender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=20399#p20399. Apparently it is called letterboxing. There are a couple of code snippets in the above link that can be typed into the console. I know they work for the .skp files I use in for rendering in Thea, I think they may work for files created by another exporter as well, but it may take a ruby guru to verify this.

Are you sending mouse events to SketchUp? Or do you want to translate gestures into SketchUp commands? If the latter, then you might be able to use the Ruby API or the C++ SDK API?

@magnato said: When I hide a subgroup in one scene and updating the scene, it is hidden in all scenes. Is there any way around it? Magnar I hope it is otherwise it sounds like a bug for me. Sketchup sometimes is really annoying, it doesn't work like it logically would have to.

IGNORE WHAT FOLLOWS, I wrote it before I saw the light, and go to the bump which follows. **Thank you much, David. I meant to be clear that I think I understand well the scene manger's utility for storing all manner of settings, including axes, and for updating all or any one of them in bulk or individually. What I meant by a user being able to set a default custom axes is that one could set it and it would remain that way until manually changed (including through scenes). Fiddling with scenes would then not be required at all even if one's desired axes differed from SU's geo driven default. 'Multiple defaults' may be a poorly coined phrase, maybe stickily-definable is marginally better?? Anyway, I hope you understand me but I don't want to waste any more of anyone's time on this, even if I can't get any measure of concurrence, out of anyone. I'll be alright.**
