I have the same problem IES spot lights don´t work in vray 2.0. I try to change the mesure units as i did in vray 1.49.01 and the result is nothing. any ideas to fix this?

The Chaosgroup one AFAIR is made with the angle blend. I know I've used it before - just had to adjust the color to suit.

Thanks! I do highly recommend all of the Onyx products for making 3d landscaping for SketchUp and for V-Ray proxies. You decide what the tree looks like and how many polys. Endless creations from one purchase. When you buy pre made trees on the web you are confined by their 10-20 trees and cannot be as creative. Onyx is also great at reducing and optimizing models so you can make SketchUp plants and are fairly low polygon.

Another tip - Being able to use geometric leaves cuts your render times down considerably. I would only recommend alpha transparency on leaves that are in the fore and middle ground of your project. If you are rendering a forest, I would definitely go with the geo leaves.

The way the w-xp memory manager works for 32 bit machine the 4GB RAM is equally allocated between SU and the kernel so only 2GB is allocated for SU. If your machine is large block address aware then you can enable the 4GB switch ( via the boot init and the allocation will be changed to 3 GB SU and 1GB kernel but then some slow down occurs. For a 64 bit machine SU can use the total 4 GB if you have additional RAM.

1.6 is the beta version with many bugs. You need to be on the latest 2.0 to take full advantage of the bug hunt that went on during beta.

I think there can be errors if you try to bring in the same linked proxy as one that is already in the scene. I'll have to check again, as I haven't seen this in a while. Maybe check that you have the latest version of Vray for Sketchup.
