      i need to creat velvet material and i think i can use angular blend material . i can't find any video tutorials anywhere. and the text tutorial is sparse as well. i wonder if someone can detail a step by step tutorial here. or share some helpful links. thanks in advance. though i guess i can just download velvet material somewhre.

        There's a velvet material in the downloadable materials in the ChaosGroup website. You should take a look at that.

              The Chaosgroup one AFAIR is made with the angle blend. I know I've used it before - just had to adjust the color to suit.
