      Hey guys ,

i have a problem with modeling a park. I use a jpeg as ground and placed 3D object trees on it, when i had about 100 trees, the render woked fine. then i placed about 500 trees and now the the render window is blank, only the enviroment is visible. Maybe there is something with my graphic card or open GL. i have no idea. thx for help

What version of V-Ray? If you have 2.0 you should be using proxies for those trees.

I think you may be running out of memory. SketchUp is 32 bit so you are limited to 4GB of RAM regardless of your specs.

If you have 1.49 you can try rendering to VRIMG.

The way the w-xp memory manager works for 32 bit machine the 4GB RAM is equally allocated between SU and the kernel so only 2GB is allocated for SU. If your machine is large block address aware then you can enable the 4GB switch ( via the boot init and the allocation will be changed to 3 GB SU and 1GB kernel but then some slow down occurs. For a 64 bit machine SU can use the total 4 GB if you have additional RAM.
