Thanks Rich. Will the browser eventually have subd mode (showing the subd basic divisions)? I thought you posted that before. BTW I notice the viewer does not give access to controls once it is full screen or is that just my setup?
...prima Tuna1957 👍 not to forget this "rounded seam" (is there any term for this?) on the edges of the upholstery makes such a furniture model so much better 👍
Thanks HornOxx. I believe Your referring to the “welts” around the cushions…. Welt is the only term I’ve ever used for these. I’m sure there may be other terms used in other parts of the world. What I found interesting in the reference picture I worked from there were no welts around the main body of the chair, just around the cushions. 👍

Notice how important Creasing sets(based on angle value, see at 7.20) are. Hope Thomthom will deliver them soon.
NB The second part is interesting too
also, when i tried to copy to the second model, NOT copy in place, the arrow icon turn to paint bucket icon. I DIDn't select paint bucket icon, and why the paint bucket icon show up??!! did anyone encounter this problem?
You can set it to 0, and V-Ray will use as much ram as is available. Or you can cap it at something like 10,000mb if you want it to not eat all your ram.
As a side note, for slightly faster renders you can also turn off "Low Thread Priority" in your Global switches. This will throw everything your computers got (CPU) at the rendering, but you wont be able to do much else with the machine while its rendering like that.
Well, since it seems that nobody is able to give me advise.. so i wasted several hours and watched 4 tutorials (until if found one that gave me some clues..) to find a solution.
The "trick" (just in case someone want to know) is to lower the color saturation of the parallel reflection until that effect dissapear. At least thats the only thing i could find to fix it. In the end, i dont get the reflections i would want in some areas (i really dont get vray lol, why is evrything so hard.. xD) but i prefer that instead seeing white dots without reason or "painted" areas with white for no reason.
You can try changing the UV parameters in the texbitmap material. Changing the tile could do the trick. I usually add another diffuse layer (use a white color in transparency) and add the same bump map to the diffuse slot. This way I can alter or rotate the bump map in the sketchup window using the standard texture tools. Because of the white color in transparency it won't render. Oh, make sure the new diffuse layer is above the diffuse layer you want to render (be it a color or image).
Hope this helps!
