@monkers said: Even better would be a dialog with a list of scenes each one would have a check box beside it. that way you could custom show/hide in each scene. Something like this? [image: zk9a_HideinScenes.gif]

Fredo continues to blow my mind. I now have a new tool to add to the toolbox, but this doesn’t do exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Ah, yes, this is the basic, organic work-around I was aiming for... I have nothing against plug-ins.. I just thought there was an old fashioned do-it-yourself way to add windows to studded walls... ...will experiment with these ideas now... huge thanks, really! Peggy

Thank you Pilou! That is a great idea, I'm going to try that right now. I actually have that plug in already, can't believe I didn't think of that.

Hi I apologize for reviving an old post, but I'm not sure how to start a new one in a relevant group. I can't seem to find a discussion group on Maxwell Render either. The technical issue I face - When I apply an emitter material on a grouped object, and I flip/mirror this object, the emitter fails to work. [image: 0J7H_z_emiiterissue.jpg] In the attached picture, "A" shows the original group. Emitter works fine. "B" shows the original grouped copied to the left. Emitter works fine too. "C" shows the copied group on the left flipped horizontally. Emitter blacks out. Is anyone else facing this same issue? Wondering if there's a workaround for this. This issue caused problems when I'm rendering cars. One headlight emits light, but the headlight on the flip side of the car does not light up. I tried exploding, regrouping, making the component unique, reapplying emitter texture to the flipped group - nothing worked so far. But this problem doesn't seem to affect other textures, like the red paint I applied in the demo cube shown in the above attached image. I'm using Mac OSX 10.10.5, Sketchup 2016, Maxwell Render 3.2, on Mac Pro 5,1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Best regards

@pinoy said: Hi Rich, Will we see Mac OS as well? Just downloaded but for Windows only. Any news on this? Cheers Hi Pinoy, Currently we are concentrating on the development of the Win version. If the Win version will be popular on the market we plan to make a MAC version as well.

@tig said: I think you must assume there will be no more development. It's been dormant since 2013 ! You might want to check out BoolTools 2. It's not free but it's Mac compatible and very powerful. There is even a discount on currently. https://mindsightstudios.com/booltools-2/

I feel ashamed, making a button is over my head. However, just pasting the script in to the command line, works. Import does bring the files in. The script doesn't place the imported DAEs into the model. It just loads them into the memory. I can see them in my component menu but not in the moles. (during manual placement - I got to click to place the DAE in. With the script -there is no click to place it.) How to do?

Yes, you're correct, the collision geometry covers up the hole, as MSPhysics generates convex collision for all linked faces. You can fix this by subdiving the group even into more convex sub-groups, like in the image below: [image: tHe6_TableSawCarriagetestV1.png] For more accurate convex subdivision, you can use Convexify by fredo6. But then, either way, your model will endup with multiple geometries, ruining the view. What you can do about it is have another, hidden layer, calling it "MSPhysics Collision", where all the convex subdivisions will be stored. Then have the original, non-subdivided versions of the groups be visible and set to MSPhysics->State->Ignore, so they don't interact with MSPhysics simulation. Here is how it should be: Table Saw Carriage test V1.0.skp You can enable the "MSPhysics Collision" layer to see the collision used for simulation.

Does it keep all of your entourage in the live cube? I have a model that I need to make some edits too, but I am afraid I will lose all the effort I already put in.

@unknownuser said: thx, but I found that one only making round tubes, not square ones I need for my windows. Didier Bur Lines to tubes Plugin make also square tube! Just change number segments' section! So Precision = 4! And if you want Toblerone's boxes enter Precision = 3! [image: EBKg_GIF_tube.gif]

This occurs because some groups are falling down, far away from the camera. If you unhide all groups and layers, and then play simulation, you will notice some objects falling infinitely down. You may set their state to ignore or static, so they don't interact with the simulation. Then you can hide them back if desired. If you want them movable, then simply add a huge static ground below so that the falling objects don't fall down beyond it. Also enabling Continuous Collision mode for all objects in Simulation tab may help in preventing objects from falling through each other in case they do so.
