      Hi everyone

I'm having a problem and I'd REALLY appreciate if someone could help! I installed Sketchup Make last night and added a bunch of plugins. When I restarted it, I got an error message:

"Error, BGSketchup_Library extension not found. Please download it from store.Do you want to open link to download it?"

If I clicked No, Sketchup crashed. If I clicked Yes, the link opened in a browser window - and Sketchup crashed anyway. And there was no option to ignore the message, so I couldn't use Sketchup at all.

So I got BGSketchup_Library_v2.5.6.rbz, changed the file extension to zip and extracted the .rb file and folder to my Plugins directory. I opened Sketchup again, and now I'm getting a new error message:

"Your system language translation exists for this plugin, do you want to use it?"

Guess what? No matter what I click, Sketchup crashes. It's driving me crazy. I'm not a dev and I'm out of ideas here! I just want to get building!

      Can anyone help? Please?

      Thanks

You need to install plugins / extensions the correct way and stop copying / pasting it into a SketchUp sub-directory.

The correct way to install is to use the Extension Manager, go to Window > Extension Manager : Install Extension and navigate to where you had saved the RBZ file.

You'll probably need to fix your current install as well. An uninstall should do, make sure all the relevant files / directories have been deleted as well. Then start fresh using the correct method. When installing SketchUp, make sure to run/install "as administrator".
