      its a very cumbersome method, but the only one as far as i know.

      Basically you make lots of copies of the object you want to move, and you move them along the path you wish the object to follow. Once youve done this you'll need to create a new layer for each 'frame'/model youve made. You then create a scene for each frame and make sure that SU is remeberign the layer visibility options for each scene. You then alter the layer visibility in each scene untill the object appears to be moving by switching between layers (which is then done by the scenes function in SU).

      Feel free to ask questions, i made a bit of a hash job of describing the whole thing.

        Hi Remus

        Thanks for your reply. I think the method will be to complicated and timeconsuming ๐Ÿ˜ž

            If you have a look over at http://www.suplugins.com (the Podium website) there is a SUanimate plugin that reportedly does what you're looking for.

            I have not used it myself though, so I cannot comment from personal experience.

              Hi,
              You can use this plugin for basic animation:
              http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/em_ren_page.htm
              Browse the page down until you find "transformer_beta.zip" and d/l it.
              And there's also SketchyPhysics ๐Ÿ˜

                Didier, how would you goabout animation with sketchy physics? is there some clever solution or is it a case of having screen capture going while running the animation?

                  @Didier
                  Looks very interesting, but can it be activated via Scenes ? And included in AVI ?

                  Thanks

                      @all

                      Thanks for your input. I think I have to wait for SU7.0 - It might have some animations features ๐Ÿ˜„

                        You might also want to check out Antics V3.1, which just launched last week and now includes SketchUp import. Antics V3.1 is a free download from http://www.antics3d.com

                        Check out this video which showcases how you can add animation to your SketchUp models:
