OK it seems thomthom's plugin 'Cleanup' does the job in a round about sort of way, not to mention a few other extremely useful things. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=22920

Hi! I know, this is an old post, but in the meantime I have found a more elegant solution for this and maybe there is still someone in need of it. When working on more complex models, disabling OpenGL was not the ultimate solution. NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT driver update did not solve the problem either. Than I have found this information on exactly the same problem and its solution ... and it is finally gone! https://sites.google.com/site/sketchupsage/problems/gpu Thanks! Zsotti

I think I have it sorted. I selected one floor at a time (the bottom of each room) and did an offset. I then selected the middle sections and Push/pulled them up. I now have thick walls to work with.Thanks.

You can type any 'decimal units' as long as you include a units suffix. So if you are working in inches then typing 18" or 1.5' give the same result. If you are working in 'mm' but want something that's exactly 18" long you can type 18" and it will be made exactly that long [i.e. 457.2mm] without need to do complex calcs... Vice versa, if you are working in inches but want something 45cm long then type in 45cm and you'll get something a little less than 18"...

Weird indeed. I really wish once the development team found a way for the SU sun to respect image transparency (imagine how easier it would be with billboard entourage) but at the same time I also wish they kept this current method (maybe as a checkbox in the material editor?) when image transparency is not transparent to shadows. But this misbehaviour???

Can't believe it... That simple. I knew about those all the time, but not that they were causing all the trouble. Thanks a lot to both of you! Really appreciate it. I can finally continue... Im sure I will return to this place...

From SketchUp (Pro), only the geometry can be exported so if you choose that route, you will need to do som post processing work in a cad application. Again, with the Pro version, there comes LayOut which would be able to produce most of what I can see there (hatching patterns should be done with images however). A so called "hybrid" output would be the ideal in this case - edges in vector while image files in raster format. LayOut 3 can now export to dwg/dxf too (I do not know how those image hatchings would look like though).

@martin-art said: I just wanted to post an update on the licensing situation in Shaderlight. For Shaderlight 1.2 we incorporated a new licensing system which has made the installation process much more straight forward for our community. However, we discovered that a limitation of this new system was that we were unable to allow multiple activations on a license code or have the ability to transfer the license to another machine. We have been working to resolve this and importantly maintain the straight forward licensing. Our development team concentrated on allowing multiple activations on a single code, new commercial Shaderlight activation codes can be used twice so you will be ok to activate your Shaderlight license on your office and home computer. The licensing of Shaderlight allows you to have Shaderlight installed on 2 machines, but only use 1 at a time. Customers that have an existing Shaderlight license will need to contact support@artvps.com and their license code will be modified. Martin That sounds great Martin. Thanks very much!
