Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    Shep
Hi Shep. I am writing in regards to the Logitech m560 mouse. Did you use the LOGITECH SETPOINT software in order to customize buttons for Sketchup? Yes, it's the only app I've set custom functions for. Did this affect mouse settings in other software? No, not that I've noticed. I am a bit reluctant to install the logitech software as this may cause all sorts of other issues. Thanks in advance.
You Bet, Shep

Ensure you have not disabled or are missing the file sketchup_webhelper.exe, it is the connection file that allows SU to connect to the warehouse.

What is the future for Sketchup? Will Sketchup 2018 be the last desktop based software only to be replaced by a web based software like Sketchup Free? How will this affect Sketchup Pro versions or will the Pro version also be web based. I find web based apps to be fraught with many issues including application crashes; memory hungry web browsers; data limits for those without a DSL connection including people of lesser financial means to sustain a cloud based connection without eating into data limits. How will this affect extension development and will extension developed for Sketchup Free work with versions at or below Sketchup 2018. Generally speaking I'm sure Sketchup 2018 should have at least another 3 years of life in it. Many people are in fact still using Sketchup 8.

So it's narrowed down to a change in graphics drivers, then. I doubt you'll see a lot of difference with Hardware Acceleration disabled. It just means your graphics card isn't really doing the work. Instead rendering duties are being dumped on the CPU. It might be that another GPU driver will come along and fix the issue so you can go back to using the GPU instead of CPU for rendering duties. Time will tell.

I have also tried using the MeshWrapper tool to divide it into even grids. This gives a more manageable result but still leaves open edges. Please see attached [image: SqgY_4.JPG]

The softened diagonal lines indicate that the edges art not coplanar and to create the surface, additional edges are required. That comes down to fundamental geometry. In the plywood for your climbing structures, you could induce a bit of twist to compensate. Not in SketchUp however. Follow Push/Pull from Joint Push/Pull Interactive would thicken the geometry and provide the miters along the seams. [image: p0Fh_Screenshot-8_17_20185_03_29AM.png] You would still need to make each panel a group or component. I would make them components with Replace Selection with Component turned off. That will allow you to use the miter faces and edges in each neighboring component. You'll have the components in the In Model library to drag out so you can lay them out for nesting. Your profile indicates you are using SketchUp Make but you need to be using SketchUp Pro for this work.

You can also try exporting your DXF file as an older AutoCad version. I export all the way back to AutoCAD R2.5. It's not perfect, but it is much better. Adding extra points to the curves before you export the DXF will also tend to help
