You can still install a 'beta' version in the correct way...
Or get the latest most current version and install that as I said.
Whenever I might have installed a 'beta' version I've done it as I explained and I've never had such problems...

So this didn't happen before last week? Same version of SketchUp you were using before last week? What has changed since then? If you are using the same version of SketchUp, you can count SketchUp out of the equeation.

There have been reports of others having trouble with P5000 Quadro GPUs. If you updated the driver and that didn't do it, maybe roll back to one from a month or so back.

Have you ruled out the mouse?

This is not a SketchUp bug. This is a deficiency in the graphics drivers. What is the graphics card in your computer? What version of SketchUp are you using? Your profile indicates a version that does not exist.

You should update the graphics drivers and see if that helps. Also in SketchUp under Window>Preferences>OpenGL, untick Use Fast feedback.

Hey TIG I have the same problem now, it crashes just after opening it

Crashes immediately after opening are typically related to issues with the graphics drivers. With SketchUp 2017 and later, the graphics card must be up to the task of properly supporting OpenGL. What is the graphics card? Try updating the graphics drivers. If the graphics card is not up to the task, you may need to go back to SketchUp 2016 which has the option to dump rendering duties to the CPU.

When you installed SketchUp, did you right click on the installer file and select Run as administrator from the context menu?

Thanks! Strangely, layout shows no issues. At all.

    Good luck with the toolbars.

I've gotten in the habit of installing all programs using Run as administrator.

Also, if you haven't done so in awhile, log out and back in to the Extension Warehouse.

Often this is due to a misbehaving extension. Try turning off all your extensions in the Extension Manager and see if the problem continues. If not, start enabling them half at a time until the issue reappears to isolate the offender.

It is not a SketchUp problem.
    It is a Vray problem.
So you really need to start a dialog [aka a 'discussion'] with Vray on their own forums...

Oh okay.. Got it..!! Thanks for your help..!!

Very likely signing out of SketchUp and signing back in would take care of it. But to get you going, you could go to the Extension Warehouse and download the Trimble Connect 2.0 rbz file and install it with Install Extension from the Extension Manager. I took the liberty of downloading it and attaching it here so you don't have to go looking.

    Thanks Dave.
Solved it for me too. 👍

Daily backup-ing to an external disk is a must (when doing projects commercially). Having to re-do everything and/or explain to a client the project will have a big delay is a nightmare scenario.
Edit: TIG's archiver is also nice for creating backups

I agree... was my exact thought after this event.
Still, this does not excuse the poor programming behind SketchUp's Save feature. A SAVED file on the disk should NOT be touched before the new saved copy is CONFIRMED to be viable. Overwriting files on-the-fly is a recipe for disaster.

PLEASE HELP ! ! AM running OS 10.11.06 sketchup pro 2018 an trying to load libfredo6 an for some reason its not loading in extension warehouse ... ive even tried loading it into sk 2017 with no luck . just cant figure this out .....
Download the latest version from our PluginStore, https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=LibFredo6
The RBZ should then be found where you specified - usually your Downloads folder ?
Use the native Extension Manager > Install Extension, find the RBZ file and install it.
Remember that LibFredo does nothing much if installed on its own.
It is however required by most of Fredo's Extensions...

I don't know if we have the same problem, base on what I have experienced, it also appears the moment I click Save As or Ctrl S..
What I did was I access Windows defender, click Settings, Click the Virus & threat protection settings, look for the Controlled folder access and turn it off..
Maybe it will solve your problem..

    Solved.
It was the Material creation window that was outside my PC screen. See this thread for info how to fix. https://forums.sketchup.com/t/cannot-create-new-materilas/12642/3
