I approve of this message. Not sure the person in the foreground is a fan though?

Rooftop Concept
Concepting a rooftop pool area for a spa facility.
Rendered with Thea Render and filtered thru Fotosketcher.
Used Vintage filter and then merged with original image.
Kinda like the painterly feel.

RE: Man
If you uncheck edges and profiles in the styles dialog box and uncheck the cast shadows in the entity info dialog box after you select the "man" these are the results.
Not sure if this is what you are after.

RE: Rendering 2d people w/toon material question
What rendering engine are you using?
I use Thearender and it allows for the lines from Sketchup to merge with the rendering. There are times I only want the lines for certain elements, so I composite different renderings in a photo editor to get the results I'm looking for.

After reading this thread, I tried to see if I would have the same issues.
Currently, the program is behaving as expected.

Windows 10 latest updatesStart Paint command, single Alt press to sample some material; Now, change your mind and try to sample another material (pressing single Alt without orbiting)- you won't be able to do that (to chose another mat).
I tried this and it did glitch once, but all other times (half a dozen)in 2021 the tool seems to be working normal

RE: What's this way of texturing called and how to learn it ?
I believe you want to look into UV mapping.
Rich O'Brien has a plugin called WrapR to handle texture mapping.
UV Mapping for SketchUp
WrapR for SketchUp is a UV mapping extension for SketchUp models
