If you uncheck edges and profiles in the styles dialog box and uncheck the cast shadows in the entity info dialog box after you select the "man" these are the results.

Not sure if this is what you are after.

What rendering engine are you using?

I use Thearender and it allows for the lines from Sketchup to merge with the rendering. There are times I only want the lines for certain elements, so I composite different renderings in a photo editor to get the results I'm looking for.

Start Paint command, single Alt press to sample some material; Now, change your mind and try to sample another material (pressing single Alt without orbiting)- you won't be able to do that (to chose another mat).

I tried this and it did glitch once, but all other times (half a dozen)in 2021 the tool seems to be working normal

I believe you want to look into UV mapping.
