keyon Check your use of the scale tool. As long there is no geometry perpendicular to the scale direction like you would encounter scaling the rail of a frame where the stile width will then change ( one reason for Fredos scale tool stretch function). You can make a cutting plane then use the move tool but then the 2x will become a unique component unless you what all to change. Component scaling does not change the component definition so it is not an edit operation and the others in you model will not change . For a simple 2x the bevel will stay the same unless your scaling across axis? Pay attention to the handels your using.

Please, refer to this topic in the plugin forum: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=35746 It explains how to install zipped plugins (which Shape Bender is, too). Then do not forget to also install progressbar.rb as the first post of the Shape Bender plugin instructs. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=18210

Welcome. @sfto1 said: I also hope to, at some point (maybe even soone) be as helpful to others as many of you have been to me. He he, I have similar hopes - but whoa, these guys are just so damned good! I often wonder how they found the time to model and program scripts so skillfully, when they also seem to always be here ready with the answers to all our problems - I am very concerned that Google/Trimble may be involved with some sort clandestine CAD-monkey cloning program!

Actually, this is an addendum to my previous question which should be disregarded because I was able to install BezierSpline to the folder plugins in the macintosh HD. I am posting a new question to the BezierSpline forum because after installing I cannot find the new controls on Sketchup8. Thanks.

Hi folks. To get an inference for an endpointor a midpointor anything, if the inference engine is having trouble, most of the time a simple Orbitor Zoomwill help. In very crowded models, hiding obstrusive geometries also helps. To position an object between two points, draw a line between the two points. Use the midpoint inference to place the object and then delete the edge. Just ideas.

delete the scripts mentioned in the window and try to install these seperate to find out whats going on. Take a look if glass-tools.rb is in the correct folder. The other I dont know what it is.

I recently got a small stainless-steel puzzle-box made in three pieces, and I was surprised how heavy and 'metallic' it was - they use real metal powder, bound with resins, then the final form is 'tumbled' to polish it, so it comes out just like 'real' s/s... I was very pleased with it. The surface finish will never be shiny smooth, but I think that won't detract from this bracelet's appearance anyway.

@grizzler said: i just want to use the same style on each scene in order to export them as jpegs with them all having the same style. There's no need to edit (or make new) style for each of your scenes - you can simply re-use the same style - like this... Enter you first scene. Create your new style, name it and save it. Right click the scene tab (or scenes window thumbnail) and choose "Update". If a dialogue appears, make sure that "Style and Fog" is ticked, and press "update". This "links" the style so that it is remembered next time you select the scene. Navigate to a different scene. Choose the new style that you just created (just select - no need to edit!) "Update" this scene just like the previous one from the tab or scenes window. Your custom style will now always be used for this scene too. Repeat for each scene that you would like to share the same appearance. The way this works is incredibly handy - each scene just has a "link" to the style definition. So if you decide you want to change your custom style, just edit and update the style - and it will automatically update the appearance of every scene that you linked it to.

Have you tried Artisan or SubdivideAndSmooth ? These would smooth and allow you to predefine 'creased' [sharp] edges too...

Frodo makes the ONERINGLIB plugin, lots of folks looking for it but he's being stingy with it. There's no LIBFRODO plugin, though. Sorry.
