      Hi all,
I'm new to sketchup and to your website. Just on my first step of learning stechup I'm strugling with a small problem. I have a sketchup file containing a terrain and farm boundaries. I want to "drop" the farm boundaries onto the terrain using the drop plugin but for some reason the farms are not falling on the terrain. I can drop them on any flat surface but not on the terrain. Can anybody please let me know where my mistake is? I have attached a zipped format of the sketchup with the terrain and farms.
      Many thanks in advance,
      Robel.

I think the Sandbox Drape Tool would be a better choice. I'm guessing that the boundarys are lines and not points.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

Thanks a lot sdmitch. It worked impressively.
I understand there are many things I need to learn about sketchup like the distinction between a "line" and a "point".
I'm a hydrogeologist and planning to use sketchup to conceptualise 3D geological features and groundwater flows. Is there any book or website that you can recommend me that teaches on how to apply Sketchup for such fields?
          regards,
          Robel.

None that I know of. Sorry. Perhaps one of the moderators might know of one.

Just for fun, look at the video tutorial that Pilou posted here:

Many thanks to you all for the help.
I have browsed the links and downloaded the videos. These will definitely be good starting tutorials.
