Looked at your gif.... still confusing as what your trying to do. Posting one of your screen shots that I marked up with some questions. Would be best to know what is this ? What is the final result ? Is this something you want to 3D print ? [image: AQLD_tool20handle20front.jpg]

Hi thanks again for taking a look at my post, but I've yet to find a solution. I've been at the computer now for close to 6 hours haha I've saved it in every format - looked endlessly online and all I can find are how to's on how to export, but nothing about preserving the actual image. I really did the cell shading and thick lines, but no matter what format I just get blocky object without any lines.

That would be a way to get an opening roughly based on the radius of curvature of the wall. I don't think JPP actually removes the opposite wall face in such a case. You may have to extrude right through the wall with JPP, then perform an "intersect faces" to cut out the wall and remove what you don't need. This would work fine for an opening where there is in fact no door. I have designed (at least one!) door to go in a curved wall. The door opening (jambs) was not in fact angled on the radius of the curve. The side jambs were straight, parallel, aligned to a radial line at the center of the door. Otherwise there would have been a lot of issues in construction. (We didn't have a curved door.) In this case I would create a rectangle apart from the curve and push-pull it through the wall, then perform "intersect faces" etc.

Also, if you have a Simlab Composer version compatible with your Sketchup version: download the SU14 version, open in Simlab Composer and save as a .skp

Thanks @faust07, I hadn't bothered to check for an update! @HornOxx, you can try the newer version to see whether it helps. If my theory is correct about what is happening, it will still fail the same way. I noticed in the comments on the new version the author says he created it for use when importing into Lumion, but as of Lumion 3 it isn't needed any more.

I know how to to them, I'm making some prototypes for something I would like to laser cut, but I need to make LOTS of these little boxes, and scaling makes a mess with the walls, and my OCD wants all fitting to be of precise length XD, normally I make a prototype a day (cus I change my mind a lot about how to sort things), and have to fill like 8/9 of these boxes with lots of joints, so I was thinking of speeding up things a little bit. I found a couple of plugins that kind of do the same thing as the one you showed, but all seem to need me inputting measurements, which by my math require tons of decimal places that seem to destroy the programs, or measures are so small that the program just didn't know what to do. I'll see if I can get some cash to but the plugin. Thanks for you help.

I understand that. If you aren't inserting the files into your model, it'll be more efficient to just work through your browser.

@calypsoart said: I get update messages from 3 sources. Sketchucation Extension Store, Fredo6 update check, and the Trimble extension warehouse. When I get from the Extension store, the update process goes well and it says all updated. However, a run of Fredo6 plugin check shows updates available. Most I know have been updated. Further, update notifications from Trimble's extension warehouse are sometime problematic and I'd like to disable them. Suggestions? Do you have an example? Sketchucation ExtensionStore is the trustable source, because this is where I publish the plugins. LibFredo6 Check For Update can be slightly off-sync (intentionally), because I usually wait for a few downloads of a new version to turn it on. However, it should not say that there is anything to update if ExtensionStore tells you have everything up to date. Note that you can still get the dialog box showing periodically even if everything is up to date. LibFredo6 never does a check online in the background unless you press the button "Check For Update". SO the display of the dialog box is only dependent on the last time you did a check. For my plugins, forget Trimble Extension Warehouse, as I don't publish there and just expose a link to Sketchucation. But for other authors, this can be the trustable source.

Thanks Dave, pretty simple when you think about it that way! After I posted this yesterday, I found all the previous versions in the models component library and deleted them, thus removing all the # numbered versions which were confusing me! Thanks for the quick reply and solution.

Fredo's Animator allows you to animate objects and camera, so if you leave the objects alone you should be able to animate between the scene's cameras. But nothing is done with no work... https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=Animator
