Hi Gaieus, Thanks for the reply. It did work with Safari on my mac and then I transferred the files accross. On my pc, with IE it doesn't work although it doesn't sign me out when I move between pages, only when I try to download a plugin. I tried looking for the IE security settings but can't seem to find them. Thanks again, David. P.S. Fantastic plugin, Tools on Surface!

I did as you accounted..... i think. I made the small cylinder made it a component slid it trough, selected both cylinders, 'intersect faces'-'with selected' got rid of the two plugs. Like a charm. [image: WLGX_Plug.jpg][image: ugXh_intersect.jpg]

So you aren't pasting an image, you're copying and pasting geometry? That's an important difference. Are you using Copy and Paste? If you want the copy of the geometry to be next to the original, use the copy function of the Move tool. and move the copy in the desired direction. Hit Ctrl on PC or Option on Mac to invoke the copy function. Your second image doesn't show enough information to see what's really going on. Where do you want the 3D text to appear? I'm guess you aren't really using the standard top view but I can't be sure without seeing the SKP file.

I was going to say that the site might be down again for a few hours while the hosting company reconfigures the sparkly new back-up servers...but it looks like they may have already started.

Implementing grouping and layer assignment from the beginning is very important for the workflow. When I start a home, I immediately create my layers - Foundation, First Floor, Second Floor, Roof as the initial basics. Once I draw a particular floor (always draw on layer 0), I group it and assign it to the appropriate layer. Then you can draw on top of that layer to create the next group. Repeat the process and you will have a clean model with easy control.

Guys manipulate your windows the way it wants to manipulate you. You can also do this on macs. Sorry for Portuguese control panel, it happens I was born in a comma/dot+comma world. [image: TXix_commadotcom.png]

Thanks for the feedback so very new to this!!!! But having fun, I realised the inside was a mess but didn't know had messed up the inner circles,was trying to use the protractor tool to get the shape I had made for the 120 deg, cut outs!!! Hope to have more of a play over the weekend!

Thanx for the advice,Dave,I'll work on it tomorrow.The .skp file ended up a whopping 38.5 MB.I'm going to check on the reversed faces and I'm definitely going to delete all the textures and start over.It took me about 3 seconds to get your "dirt missile outfit".Skydiving is still the biggest thrill you can have with someone strapped to your back.
