To add to the list that Kris started, have a look at this sticky in the Gallery for some more rendering options.

Lou if it's the line where the groups meet which you are talking about then do the following. Open the group. Highlight the line, right click, hide. Then do the same with the group which has the other line showing. Although it looks like one line, you need to hide the line in each group. Dylan

Hello Charlie. Very nice work indeed. I remember seeing your unique joinery in Fine Woodworking not all that long ago. I was impressed then as I am now. Welcome to the group.

Its not a Beta problem. I have Safari v2s on all of my Macs. Zip files do work. John

TIG, thanks for posting it here, too (I already use the enw version and works perfectly) I just forgot to "update" this thread.

The only problem with the dots.style is that the entire model changes. By the way, there is also a script which will change the XLines that juju mentioned back to regular lines. Check out XLinetoLine.rb by TIG: http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDep ... o_page.htm I use these scripts quite often. You can open the XLine script and change the length of the dashes if you want. I think these 2 scripts go hand-in-hand. Ron

James, if you're getting an error about the progress bar when you run a script you may want to download the progressbar.rb script and put it in your scripts directory with the rest. I noticed a couple scripts that I downloaded from smustard.com use it.

Than I'm sorry but the problem might be more complicated than what I could answer for I only have one (working - and two old, broken ones in the attick but I don't think any of my dialogues could hide there...)

Hi Jim, Cheetah is a great piece of software! I use it primarily for renderings, but the modeling side is also very powerful. I, too, knew nothing about modeling (other than in Sketchup) when I got Cheetah and it has been a really exciting learning curve. Rendering, for me, has been all about experimenting different things. It can be frustrating at times and I am still only happy with about 25% of my final renderings, but I am starting to get a good grasp of settings that seem to work. The Cheetah forums are really good! There are a bunch of really experienced guys there who are very helpful. They are located here: http://www.cheetah3d.de/forum/ Welcome to the club here! I think you will really enjoy your time here. Talk about helpful and friendly!

Well to the wonderfully horrible clipping issue. Complaints about it are all over the "dead" forums. I do a lot of work with 100's of acres sites and large satellite groundplanes. Clipping is the bane of my existence. Often time, I have to have two models, one with everything and one that just has the part of the site I am currently working on because clipping is so bad. Lots of component reloads to get the big model updated. I know that other large site softwares display no clipping (Vue, for one) and I have never heard one reason for why Sketchup does clip. I would not hold your breath for this issue to be fixed and figuring out good work arounds is your best (only) bet.
