I'm sure there is an obvious answer to this but I've been looking thru the user manual for well over an hour. How do you add a component to the component browser so it can be accessed for use in other models?

    Thanks for a response.

Right click on the component you want to use in your "in model" menu.
      click save as,
on the Explorer menu that appears, click the down arrow to get to 😄
      Click Programs'
      Google
      SU 6
      Components,
Then make your catagories there like appliances, railings etc.
I hope this works I am doing it from memory cause my component menu has disappeared and I cant find it! Have a good one.

I appreciate the response but I should have said that I am on a mac. I have tried looking for folders ect. that might contain the component files but I can't find them. On a mac I thought it would be in the Libraries folder/ Application support. There is a sketchUp folder there but it doesn't have any components in it.

Any one using a mac who might know how to do save a component for use in other models?

          jmac,

do not forget there are 2 library/application support folders: one in your HD and another for the main user (actually, one for each user). you probably looked for it in the user's folder.

have a look at the image attached.

          regards.
