    Hi everybody,
    I also have the same problem with that missing items in few recent projects. From what I heard, it looks like because of the GROUP/ COMPONENT issues. The fact after having some annoying of missing material layers, IES lighting data, I tried the most common way using copy/paste to a new plain file. So when I hit render with a new file, it turn out with nothing but the background !! Then I select all and put into GROUP. Wow..Objects got back in render frame again but material layers and lighting data still missing. So strange..Somehow it'a last solace than nothing !!

    Because of the limitations of UVW mapping, you will either need to have a copy of the bump in your diffuse as a reference (just set the opacity to AColor and then set that to white and add your color layer as a 2nd diffuse under that). Or you can play with the UVW scaling in the texture itself.

    Thanx for ur rply.

    Previously it was with default material.
    I applied material to it. it is looking nice now.
    But sun intensity 0.3 looks low.
    I m attaching image with 0.3 and 1.0 intensity (materials are jst for reference not final).
    go through it n tell mi ur suggestions.

    I believe Trimble is already working on 2014, I highly doubt they are going to spend even a second, trying to improve SU8

    i would also blame the GI settings (either the LC subdivs or the irradiance map sample settings), could you post a screenshot of those two?

    Important note : this method works only when i use Hdri in environment slots as he did, but it didn't work with me when i used dome light with Hdri, and i don't know the solution to use it with dome light. maybe someone can find a solution for that.

    I was able to look at Make's scene, I was unable to reproduce the crash running OSX Lion, SketchUp 2013, and our latest nightly build.

    gspalding - sorry you're having trouble on the CG forums, but you don't have to worry about jumping through those hoops to report a bug. Just send us an email: vfswip@chaosgroup.com will submit to our bug tracker, which we use exclusively for tracking down and fixing bugs in V-Ray for SketchUp. Forums and email aren't used to track/fix bugs at all, so if you only wanted to report a bug, there's no reason to even post about it on any forums at all, because Joe (the other developer) and I don't use those forms of communication for that purpose. If you have steps to reproduce the issue, or an example scene file that can be used to reproduce the issue on our machines, please send in a bug report so we can fix this. If the scene is too large, just start deleting things until it's about 10mb in size, and then send it along. The less complex a scene is, that still demonstrates the issue, the better.

    there are no errors in that error log, perhaps if you can post a scene, or explicit steps on how to reproduce the error, someone can better assist you.

    that i know.. but the Background is not placed according to the model.. its like my model will be on some wall, on some window or on some top, or hanging in air.

    I think so - Look under Plugins- Vray - Pack Scene

    FYI - Currently, I do not think it copies vrmesh files.

    CORRECTION - this has been fixed, meshes pack now too.
