If you focus on the window, the outside landscape, a digital camera will make the interior extremely dark so you can see the trees and the garden. Just like the human eye. Legacy materials should be displayed as the old style square swatches if you don't have Automatically Enhance Materials enabled in Preferences Graphics. I leave that turned off and only "enhance" materials when I want them enhanced. This is a custom set I made or got somewhere long ago. [image: 1764516899370-screenshot-11_30_2025-9_34_29-am.png] For new materials that show with the cube, you could edit them to remove Metalness and Roughness as well as any other mapping them might have. Then save the changes by dragging the thumbnails back to the collection they came from. [image: 1764517281715-material.gif] So presumably you are still using the Classic Graphics Engine? At least until you get a capable computer you might as well stick with SketchUp 2025. Then you wouldn't have to do anything to not see the cubes.

@Gábor needs to look at his server-side coding. I expect the user-side would always be sending a list of all installed extensions and their versions, Gábor then checks if that user, on that computer, in that SUp version has previously installed any extension[s] in the current version available in the ExtensionStore, and if not it should advise that there's an update available, and list it on the appropriate page to auto-install...
