Raylectron v5.3.53 depth of field test. This is the first time I've tried the Depth of Field effect. The camera model is one I made years ago, but the render is brand new.

Rework of an old render - Flying car
I had forgotten about this until it popped up in Facebook memory feed. Didn't quite like my original render. It was alright, but lacking. So I decided to rework it.

RE: Sketchup version 8 crashes on startup
My honest suggestion would be to update SU.
2017 Make is still available. (I think) You may have to search around for it.

That's out of this world
What's new in v5.3?
Tweaks to the raytracing and a huge increase in render speed.
Raylectron also now comes with various assets like trees and landscape objects, planets, clouds, birds at a distance, mountain range at a distance, stars, and motion blurs.
It does have animation, but it is still script driven. I made the Sonic spaceship video with it.

Very nice, it appeals to the 2001 ASO and Trekkie in me. Reminiscent of B5 too with the backdrop. I wish they had finished the B5 series "Crusade".
Thanks.
Yeah, B5 was ahead of its time.
