Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

Working with the .stl file is problematic due to the triangulation of all surfaces. If you must work with it in SketchUp you would find it better to import it with Meters as the import units. Also selecting Merge coplanar faces in the Import options will help. Even then it has problems but they will be easier to manage. Seems to me it would be better to use the stl as a reference and create a new, cleaner model of it to avoid problems like those that have been pointed out already. Maybe it's possible to get a 3D DXF file from the original source? Maybe it would have fewer issues. Hard to say from here.

Rereading your OP. If you had an image of the long side with the grooves in it, you could use that as a texture on the one face or a simple extruded box. Then mitering it would be trivial with either a drawn diagonal and Push/Pull or just moving an edge. If you don't need the internal details at all, don't model it as a hollow shape. @tig said: If it's only a few instances, then there's a simple manual fix... Use a Style showing end-points - so you can see them! Use the Move tool with nothing preselected. Pick the end of the split line and move it to the end of its cousin. You can move a vertex if nothing else is selected - otherwise the Move tool assumes you want to move the selected objects ! You now have one line where there were two... Obviously if there are lots of split lines a script is more efficient... Thank you, TIG.

@abcgsketch said: Hi, I bought Fredo's plugin bundle and I need an invoice of the purchase. I can't find any information how to get an invoice. Anybody has a hint? Thanks Generally speaking, I'm in the process of switching to Blender because Sketchup has been steadily getting worse with each new release since 2018. However, I must admit that I am missing SU's simple workflow for precision design since no plugin for billing process has yet made switching between the two options possible.

@inpro said: exporting DWGs from layout is everything but precise. They don't need to be imprecise. I'd guess it's an incorrect setup that could be fixed. It would be interesting to see a LayOut file that gives you this imprecise export. @inpro said: Thank you for reminding me, I did update my profile: SKP 2022, win7. Thanks for updating.

There's a few options... Transmutr - https://lindale.io/transmutr Skimp - https://skimp4sketchup.com/ Fluid Importer - https://www.fluidinteractive.com/products/sketchup-extensions/fluidimporter/ Universal Importer - https://sketchucation.com/plugin/2275-universal_importer ...the best, that's another discussion. Fluid is fast though. All can be trialed and the last is free but donating to author is good karma

[image: Q3U7_Centralpointdetermination-1.jpg][image: pNb1_Centralpointdetermination-2.jpg]Dear David, Thousand apologies, my sloppiness and Sketchup's inferences caused the inaccuracies of my initial central point's graphical determination (see corrected drawing). In a second attachment, the superposition of the original photograph (magenta edge), the yellowish cropped image), the greenish reconstructed uncropped photo show the usefulness of the method. Since I am dealing with 1900 photos, LIDAR and other techniques aren't really helpful here... Many thanks for diving in after so many years!
