    BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

In a second attachment, the superposition of the original photograph (magenta edge), the yellowish cropped image), the greenish reconstructed uncropped photo show the usefulness of the method. Since I am dealing with 1900 photos, LIDAR and other techniques aren't really helpful here... Many thanks for diving in after so many years!

    It also sounds like you've assigned tags to geometry (edges and faces) which is not good practice. Only objects (components, groups, labels, and dimensions) should get tags. Edges and faces should be created AND remain untagged.

    Uncheck Merge Coplanar for the DAE import... [image: H9piLYC.png] Or use Thomthoms Quad Face Tools OBJ importer which support Blender quads and UVs. A better solution is Fluids Importer which is not only faster but also respects UVs and can do poly-reduction too.

    Rich - thank you for re-creating and posting your file. However, it gives me the same result that I am trying to resolve. I want to drag a text label off any of the groups within the parent and that text label must display the name of the parent, not the name of the group within the parent from which the text label is anchored to. I suppose the only solution is to have an unobtrusive unnamed object, such as a guide point, within the parent to attach my text label to.

    with a recent SU subscription licence tied to an email address (and not the discontinued classic licence w/ serial data): if resetting all devices via the Trimble AMP ("My Products > SketchUp Pro > ...") as well as logging out, closing/restarting SU, logging in fails, you may want try to delete the according SU license status file "login_session.dat" from: • Win: C;\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 20##\SketchUp\ • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp20##/ ("Finder > Got To...") w/ the recent user name for "<User>" (Win) and the appropriate version numer for "20##"

    Have you reached out to Lumion staff with your issues? They have been super helpful for me in the past when I ran into hardware issues. I do not have any special settings that I have done with my GPU. Pretty much the default settings. if I remember correctly I just asked the lumion forum for advice on specific settings for my gpu and followed their diections to just change one or two setting to either off or on. I was not having any issues when I asked and did not see any changes in performance when I adjusted the settings. I would Highly recommend reaching out to the Lumion staff. p

    Yes, that importer will not create UVs for colour values materials in SketchUp. Ask your client to use ThruPaint to Replace Colours with Textures.
