On my SharedPreferences.json, I see a colon at the end of most shortcuts that invoke built-in commands rather than ones from extensions, but not on any that involve the flyout context menu. Note how it has been converted to "selectRectangleTool:" in the json. I wonder if there is a bug in this conversion in the Italian version? The SharedPreferences file is rewritten each time SketchUp exits, so if SketchUp is mishandling the conversion of this command, that's why it won't work when you restart. I can only suggest that you refer this problem to SketchUp support, as it shouldn't be happening. I created a topic over on the public SketchUp forum on the chance that the developers are more likely to notice it there than here.

You should try welding the lines with a plugin before exporting: Tig welding, Curvizard and/or whatever you find in the plugin store for welding edges.

OK guys, here is a perfect example of what I would like to see when presenting a SU model. Interactive Watch Presentation I was not able to determine what software was used but it is what I was trying to encourage. Imagine being able to enable this type of interactivity in LayOut presentation mode, PowerPoint, or some other presentation tool. It would even be beat to achieve this interactivity on a web site (which this guy has already figured out). Yes, I am a senior citizen without a computer to work on this stuff but I am currently obsessed with finding out how to achieve this and sharing it with/making it available to the SketchUcation community. Fredo, with your talent and expertise you should be able to come up with something.

Descaler is pretty solid when its comes global scale definition type behaviour. Of course, UVs will need to make some adjustment when you stretch them via bounding box. Check to see if the dropdown menu is hiding out on a DIFFERENT screen: I had the same problem (with Fredo6 animator). I tried everything, even completely uninstalling Sketchup and reinstalling it, but I still couldn't see the dropdown menu for Animator, even though in the View>Toolbars menu it appeared there, and the checkbox was checked. Finally I saw that it was on one of my OTHER screens, not the screen that Sketchup was on (the dropdown was pretty tiny, and I have three different screens). All I had to do was drag the menu over to the screen with Sketchup on it.

It is currently being updated almost daily.

Rich gave you several suggestions that can do that sort of thing. Sometimes it just requires thinking ahead a few steps. If I was modeling this piece and like you decided to add the hand hole late in the design, I would have put the hand hole in the left hand side component, then replaced the right side component with the left one (select the old right side, right click on the left one in the components panel and choose Replace Selected. Then Make Unique and use the shelf to cut a new dado in the new right side with Eneroth Trim or Bool Tools 2 Trim. It take a little forethought and planning for possible changes but it's not difficult and takes little time, especially with keyboard shortcuts.

Always check the Outliner after import. Sometimes models can import and not be at world origin or scaled so large/small they sit outside the scope of the clipping plane.

The way I use Sketchup is more reliant on repetitive tasks and a workflow based on muscle memory to speed the task of doing solar panel layouts on existing residences brought into 3D space from flat imagery. That's why the axis issue was such a hassle for me. A decade of doing things the same way is hard to change. I currently have over 6,000 Sketchup models created using the same repetitive process (except for the last infuriating change with the Add Location window that added at least 6 keypresses or clicks to my prior workflow). These changes have real implications for people. Software engineers sometimes don't consider how changes might affect users. But on balance, the continued development of SU and the addition of features over the years has been great.
