Hey guys
I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues.
Is there another solution?
Ah, you mean scaling it "sideways" in this case? I was only doing it in the direction of the wall thickness in this case (as the original examples were about it as well).
I accidentally made a group using a very questionable method in ruby which resulted in no style being applied to it.
When I tried to save the model, it told me there were errors that needed to be fixed and then it promptly crashed su
I took a screenshot at work

I don't know why... what I've done is before trying to reinstall the SU, reinstall the fonts.
I just took them all off the folder, then installed them back again. (took a few minutes, but ok)
Windows restarted, Done! Is working fine now...
Thanks guys!
Did you try to import the revised blocks manually?. When I need to update a component, I just delete it in the SU model, then import the dxf block, The blocks come into SU as components. Make sure that the coordinate system, and scale options are the same in both applications.

...haven't tried this, but what about putting on an turned off layer?
That works. When you import a Google Snapshot, the 2D Snapshot image and the 3D Terrain are also locked and placed on their respective layers and the terrain (by default) is hidden. The Toggle terrain button changes their visibility but you can also do it manually.
I have to say that I am glad to learn that the sketchup devs do frequent this forum - as someone mentioned earlier this is severely lacking from the giants. The ultimate responsiveness would be the developers of Cockos Reaper (music production software). They are active on the forums and respond quite quickly in terms of developing features or at least explaining why they will be focusing on something more important. Suspect that this sort of answer would at least let Solo know when they might address this or if as suggested it is too big a task for the foreseeable future
Regarding blender, ah yes.......I have downloaded and installed and uninstalled. Did manage to follow a tutorial that allowed me to turn a sphere into a heart and then do a basic render.
Just that sketchup would introduce some decent animation path functionality. Took a look at Truespace (but since they no longer offer a format converter to bring in and export CAD friendly files.......) but man they have nice camera tools......
Je m'en doutais compte-tenu de ton pseudo ( mais on peut se tromper )
Il faut t'inscrire sur ce sub-forum pour y rentrer.

I new copy tool could be coded and then assigned a shortcut. But thats not quite what you were looking for,
Chris
i would not mind that as long as the copying got done.
yeah i guess i thought i could send it to someone and have them render it...but ill try to render engine....and possibly put more effort into rendering it myself but i would love to have someone at least render one of my work..just have a quick see on how it would look..thanks though.
You can use Global Material Change to apply another material to all entities with a specified material.

I suggest you import picture not as a texture. Stretch it to fit the frame. Explode it. It should render correctly.
thank you all so much for the advise it worked !!
god bless this forum
hehehe
You should add that to this thread: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17444 it'd be nice to collect all the odd messages.
