    • Sketchup to Geovisionary ( .shp files )

      Hello guys!

I´m currently trying to export some sketchup models to import into Geovisionary.

The files must be converted to shape, since I´ve been told Geovisionary only reads shapes.

Is there a way to export skp files to .shp?
Is there anyone there that has done this or know of another methods?

      Thanks in advance

    • HELP - Tree that can be rendered!

      Hello guys!
Here I am again.. Its been already 1 and a half year that I come here each semester asking for help at some point, and I always get it from you guys! Thanks for that!

This time Im here to ask you about tree material for sketchup. I already did some research last semester but still couldnt get what I wanted. Im trying to find nice tree model (not shrubs, but 3d models) that could look reall nice when rendered with vray in SU.

Do you guys know any models? the problem I got till now were related to the size of some trees (tooo complex and threfore ended up rendered with some green squares around leafs groups) and there were also problems with some tree that require bump work. I simpluy couldnt get it.

So, do you guys have any sugestion for me? what should I do to get nice tree images and results in some renders im preparing for a urban site presentation for my semester project at the uni?

      Thanks again for yout attention!

ps. im sending you 2 images; one with the square tree problem, and other with the final tree I used last semester, which I would very much like to improve now! coments welcome too! cya!!final onefinal one

    • Help with render! (vray)

      Hello guys!

Im glad to have this forum to come to whenever I find myself lost in sketchup. For that I am thanfull to all of you!
This time I had another problem with v-ray that I wanted to ask here.

While doing a realy simple and fast rendering at work; something simple that shouldnt take more than half an hour with modeling, I came to a point where I dont know what to do.
After modeling a small room, I simply colored it with the paint tool in sketchup. As the room is basically white with some pink details, I didnt want to work on textures in vray at all, but just "click" render. But the result was a surprise. The imagem got generally pink because of those little pink details here and there.

Do you guys know what to to in this situation? How can i quickly set up the render doing it so to avoid that the color of such small details get to the "air" of my image? How can I preserve the real color or stuff in small spaces (at this case with only one opening) not letting other colors interfere?

thanks for your attention guys; and sorry for the english!

Have you tried selecting all the terrain and smoothing it to a single mesh?

    • SkIndigo 1.0.9 Install??

I dont know If I am allowed to ask for that here, but could someone post the SkIndigo 1.0.9 install rar?

I´ve been trying to download it from the Indigo site for like a week but the link to the SkIndigo 1.0.9 is down and they seem to not care, as I sent a email some days ago and didnt even get any answer.

Sorry if I am no t allowed to ask for that here, but since the program is a freeware I tought there should be no problem at all...

      Thanks anyway!

    • RE: HELP - Interior Render in Vray - Too dark!

      Oh! Just noticed that!

Thank ou a lot! I really didnt know the sun in Su would add any modifications in the renders in vray. Because of the setting process in vray, I even tought that the shadow and sun setups in sketch were ignored and therefore didnt pay attention to that!

      thanks a lot for that!

    • RE: HELP - Interior Render in Vray - Too dark!

      Hello again!

As requested, here is the model!

As a student, I use lots of models I save from the net, some from here, some from other free stuff sites. As I dont remember anymore from where I got all the stuff, I apologise if I am using something from someone here without making the right notes.

Anyway, here it is! Any help, hint and ideas are welcome for making it less dark!
ps. Had to do a .rar cause the file is too big. sorry for that.
