@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. Now I know that I can share the link with Fredo6 on the Animator thread so he can download the file and look at it (to hopefully identify the problem I have been having trying to generate a video). You might also try generating an Animator video and see what results you get.

BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

Yes, hit ESC to clear VCB. But it is different to 2022 behaviour as using CTRL + =/- used to step up/down the VCB value. Now it puts -=-=-=-=-=-- in there in case you want practice morse code while you model.

Lightup has a Light Insolation analysis option. Not heat transfer though. [image: zx56vXW.png] There is an open source tool called OpenFOAM. But its not integrated with SketchUp so you need to tweak stl files. I tried a few years ago but I went nowhere with it. Any info I got on it was either based on the examples files it comes with or data from some other package. To be honest I couldn't even get it to read .stl files exported from SketchUp.

The origin of the imported vrscene file is based on the origin of the original scene. So if you want to change it, you have to do this in Max before you export to vrscene.

No. There's no setting for changing the UI color. Have you got the current version of SketchUp 2023 installed? 23.1.340. This is what scene tabs look like on my PC. The selected scene tab is very obvious to me. [image: Btn6_Screenshot-10_14_20237_38_49AM.png]

Login to our PluginStore using the link near the top of this page. Use its search tool to find what you want to download. An RBZ file will download onto your computer. You then use Sketchup's Extension Manager to install the extension from the downloaded RBZ. Note that Fredo's extensions also need LibFredo installing - get its RBZ from the PluginStore... Most of Fredo's extensions are now licensed [not very expensive]... to get the licensing tools you need to have the SketchUcation toolset RBZ downloaded and installed. After the installations restart Sketchup to ensure everything syncs. Fredo's extensions have their own menu items which allow you to buy / manage your licenses etc. A simpler way which sidesteps the RBZ files download, is to install the SketchUcation toolset from its downloaded RBZ - there is a tool in its set called ExtensionStore³, this has all of the contents of the PluginStore and you can select an extension and click the red button, and it will be auto-installed without needing to download its RBZ manually... It also reminds you if there's an update available etc...

I understand your frustration but I imagine the operational costs of the 3DW is sizable and maintaining it retroactively for non-customers is a cost that's hard to swallow. Also current paying customers are then propping up the service for non-customers. So that devalues the offering for existing customers. Its all a bit of a mess to be honest. When the previous owner wanted 3d for everyone and the new owners are about maximising profits there's bound to be friction. But the 3DW still remains accessible online just not integrated in legacy builds. I see software licensing the same as supporting your local team. Some years you get success and others you just survive. But if you don't turn up to cheer the team when things are rough then you won't see success again. Its a tough spot your in. You no longer enjoy the team but you are still a supporter. It's on them to win back your custom. Don't invest your energy fighting though. That's better spent elsewhere.

Share the SketchUp file so we can see what you are working with. Maybe it would be better if you were using LayOut and exporting from there.

I'm gonna go raise this to next level nerdery.... I have a AutoHotkey script that resizes the active window to 800x800 if I press CTRL + F9 and to 800x600 if I press CTRL + SHIFT + F9 [image: 2Iw810e.png] It actually resizes the active window to 816x746 but because of app borders and toolbars the viewport is precisely 800x600

In COM H4005 Week 2 Reflection, students engage in self-reflection about their coursework, providing a valuable opportunity for self-assessment and personal development. This exercise encourages introspection, allowing students to more readily understand their academic progress.

Search your system for Preferences.dat What does the Extensions > Sketchucation > My Shortcuts menu show as your shortcuts? @unknownuser said: What is the reason for this? None I know of but most likely user intervention in some way @unknownuser said: Is there any way to restore it? If you have a restore point on your device you could roll back @unknownuser said: Why did this happen? Considering the absence of info its hard to say. I don't know what 'running my files' means.

3D PDF would be my suggestion https://www.simlab-soft.com/technologies/simlab-3d-pdf.aspx Its the easiest path to success without asking clients to download some additional app to view. Simlab has a nice Composer integration too so baking textures and other 'effects' are possible for that wow factor. Or you could go bespoke and try using threejs to build your own html viewer. Sam's PBR tool is worth exploring too. https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=pbr

Hey! Thanks for You effort. Maybe i didn´t explain myself very correctly. All those irregular hexagons in tile is exactly the same. But they fit if You take same tile and place it on the side or top. I think i have to try this 3 triangle solution mentioned here. I also find some intresting pages from internet. @rich o brien said: I thought the original query was that they have this irregular hexagon shape that fits together in a certain pattern? Thank You, Indrek [image: NdT4_PeriodicandNon-PeriodicTiling.png] [image: 8Ea9_Margitud.jpg]

@l i am said: At the risk of stating the obvious, group the model and rotate it on the appropriate axis 180 deg Did that. The match photo model worked out great. Didn't notice it was upside down until I saw the ground shadow hovering over the house. The first clue should have been when I was pulling some gutters with Profile Builder and the gutter was extruding upside down.

You would have had to save the file at least once to get a .skb backup file generated. If you never did that, no file will exist.
