BlenderGIS can get you pretty good images.. you do need an API key to get set up but it's all free and you can even generate 3d geometry based on the elevations in the satellite images.. it tiles in blender so you the more you zoom the better the image quality to a point.

Aha- well, I still don't understand how the licensing works...but restarting SketchUp made the latest toolbar available. And it appears there is NO 2D LINE STYLE tool! I used this a lot to make dashed and centerlines with thickness and color- out of groups of single lines.. Is this part of the extension gone???

Thank you Rich! Fantastic idea. This worked perfectly : ) I had another tip come in to try the extrude edges by vector to object tool. Transfer the edge to a surface, draw the chamfer curve and transfer back to the object. Loft the surface. A combination of this method as well as yours got me through this task. I appreciate your guidance. Thnx again

@dave r said: @pipinek said: Attached-please find a picture - the only button present is that in the middle. It would help if you'd show which extensions don't have a More Info button. All of the ones in your screenshot appear to have them. Thank you. I presented the extension window of one of machines. On which all icons has been visible. Not the other one. TIG's suggestion has solves the isdue.

I just tested it in SketchUp 2023 and it works for me. Give more details about what you are working with. Share the model file so we can see what you have set up.

What is it you're doing when SketchUp crashes? FWIW, when I model for 3D printing I set Units to Meters and model as if millimeters are meters. This allows me to model fine details and to create smoother curves. The slicer I use imports .stl files as millimeters but I export the .stl with model units (meters). For examples see my thread on 3D printed screw threads in the 3D Printing forum category. Keep in mind that adding a mesh from a an image like the brick texture I used adds tons of geometry. This can slow SketchUp quite dramatically depending on your computer's CPU and GPU. You might get frequent messages of "Not Responding" which normally isn't a crash. Just that SketchUp is busy and won't respond to further inputs from you until it is done. It might be that you'll need to break your model up into smaller sections and assemble the printed modules when they are complete.

You should try contacting the author to see if he has saved and will share an earlier version of TT_Lib. What happens when SketchUp 8 crashes? Does it give a Bug Splat?

Yes, hit ESC to clear VCB. But it is different to 2022 behaviour as using CTRL + =/- used to step up/down the VCB value. Now it puts -=-=-=-=-=-- in there in case you want practice morse code while you model.

Lightup has a Light Insolation analysis option. Not heat transfer though. [image: zx56vXW.png] There is an open source tool called OpenFOAM. But its not integrated with SketchUp so you need to tweak stl files. I tried a few years ago but I went nowhere with it. Any info I got on it was either based on the examples files it comes with or data from some other package. To be honest I couldn't even get it to read .stl files exported from SketchUp.

The origin of the imported vrscene file is based on the origin of the original scene. So if you want to change it, you have to do this in Max before you export to vrscene.
