    Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    this can be done with the standard sketchup system too... you can split a model into components and then have a folder where the components are stored. you'll need to be strict with checkout of the components or have them assigned to certain individuals though. then the large project model can have the components updated to show revisions or changes. Though I'm sure the plugins will help greatly in this arena.

    Get the pro version of SketchUp and do it in LayOut. It would be ideal for that. Or use different image exports from SU and put them together in an image editor. If you're going to stick to doing it directly in SketchUp, it sounds like you've already worked out the solution.

    I agree with steve that your best option is to upgrade SU to v15... if you really want to go back on the os, I would go no further then Mavericks... One thing you could try is un-install the faulty SU and move a copy of the working version from the other mac... it may work... john

Maybe you should consider that there comes a time when you need to cut your losses and start over. You've been chasing this axis thing since last week, I think. Perhaps it would be faster, easier, and less frustrating to start over from the beginning with clean modeling. Or maybe at least you can go back and fix the original CAD file instead. Just a thought. Absolutely true Dave sir. That's what I'm doing now, thanks to thomthom axes tools. I am now building the entire model from almost scratch and manually choosing the axes tools plugin to centrally place the axis. I've been using sketchup since 2006 and never faced this problem because, my architecture site never exceeded the 11 acre mark. Now, I have made serious mistake for the first time and learnt a lot from it. P.S. You're speaking like my 60 year old dad.
