I am a beginner, coming from Cinema 4DXL. I have a Pro trial version of v.15.

Is there a Plugins tab in the trial version? When I install an extension from the warehouse, I can't find it...or the plug ins tab.
Can I render inside of Sketchup with a trial version?...Do I need a render plugin to render inside the program?

After you install plugins or extensions via the Extension Warehouse you should see an Extension menu. If not. Try quitting and restarting SketchUp.

As for rendering in sketchUp, you'll need to get a rendering plugin. Look at LightUp among others.

Some plugins insert menu items in the Tools menu.Some may only have a tool bar that can be opened under View/ Toolbars. Others are in the Extensions menu. I only use SCF Plugin store so I don't know about the warehouse, but after installation you may also have to go to Preferences/ extensions tab to make some plugins active.

some views in SkecthUp are 'rendered'...
you can add/modify materials, turn on shadows/fog, use a variety of styles...
but it's does not have internal photo rendering without a additional plugin.
you can export with materials using a variety of formats...
