Thomthom In my dreams, you guys all together, form a company, and build your own software or maybe a patch for blender to turn it into a sketchup version. And sell it at sk price. Hell, sell it more expensive and I bet people would still buy it. Get this wonderful guys at sketchucation to support it and it would be a "marriage" made in heaven. Oh well its good to dream It's a pity most of users at sketchucation are all scattered over the world, because I would love a sketchucation meeting with all users in the forum (and to thank personally to all ruby coders out here). And BTW do you prefer beers or cookies? and how do I send them over mail?

Sounds more like a bug report. There's a link the the Bug Report section - a sticky. Follow that and submit your bug to Google. What you propose as a feature request is a workaround for a bug - it'd be better to have the bug fixed.

How about just moving the axes of each component so the origin is at the center of the appropriate face. That origin is the insertion point and you'll have hold of it when you bring the component in from the Components browser. Then you can find the center of the mating face with the inferencing tools to drop it. Or you could place some intersecting guides at the desired insertion point. You can see a demo of that starting at about 8:14 in the video here. Sorry its so far in.

@unknownuser said: Double Line cannot handle T junctions, only a simple path. Right. Since your walls are groups they also are 'solids', then performing 'union' gives good results. But more parameters in the dialog box would be handy and useful. Keep on the good work.

My version of Win32api.so is 20547 bytes, and works with su 7.1, not with su8. I've found a very old one that was working with su5 and 6, that is only 7168 bytes, and it works with su8 ! Attached below, just in case (must be tested with other plugins that requires it). @Thomthom: fr_rubytoolbar.rb is just a translation of the menus and tooltips, no changes made to the code itself. See this thread to get the old version that's working for me on SU7 and 8: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=33955&p=298650#p298650

hmm... another benefit a plugin manager could have: check for conflicting plugins from a blacklist or known problem-plugins.

Ok, made the changes and a few more, although there's no outward difference; it should run a little quicker. Download from here. Thanks Jason for the feedback and Thom for the code.

That's some mighty big GIfs. 5MB and 2MB. Some users aren't as fortunate to have good bandwidth. Had it been a video click they could decide to load the clip or not.

And also please note that Skin only works: only works with curves:-> to make it work with lines: divide them and then Weld them. [image: DBelvinSkin02.jpg] only works with curves that are not contiguously: [image: DBelvinSkin01.jpg] Cheers, simon.

Maybe someone has to delete the [Plugin] tag from this discussion.
