Since you're drawing cabinets, are you planning to apply wood grain materials to these groups and components? Is the material orientation going to be important to you?

@honoluludesktop said: A components axis is typically the corner of its bounding box. It can be relocated to the center of the component. I have seen a plugin that moves the axis of components herein. Did you try a search of the forum? Aha, maybe this is it. I couldn't get that plugin working reliably - so I made my own version: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=30508

It's called the instructor -- you can launch it from the windows menu. It doesn't have all the keyboard shortcuts but most of them. Best, Jason.

On OSX in GS 8 Pro, the Ruby console is indicating that the plugin is appending "\" instead of "/" when trying to locate the HTML file. @unknownuser said: "/Users/user/Downloads/gallery_reference_1.07/sample\Art_museum1.htm file does not exist"

TT: used your scripts and all now seems to be okay. It was nothing obvious but seems to have been a script left over from my 3D mouse: it kept looking for a central rotation point. It kept repeating it over and over in the ruby console. Many thanks - sure hope that problem is really gone. Been staying steady at 451/1000.

Thank you a lot, Chris. Worked perfectly. All my cameras (actually, scenes as you pointed out) are perspective ones, so I received no warnings. No worries about not being able to undo... I save a new file version several times a day.

Version 3 will have a new UI with better explanations of the different options. (No estimate on when it's done though.)

Good quality comes with long render times, and there is nothing you can do about it in any program you use. I would suggest you to convert the avi file to a different format to compres it, like MPEG-4 to get the best quality with the lowest bitrate. Just google for "avi to MPEG-4 converter" and you should get loads of options. Experiment what quality you can get under those 5mb. Also I would suggest you to do some reading about this topic to better understand how all of it works to get the best results.

I don't think it has been exposed in the Ruby API; so no.

It is a very old script that could use to be updated. Makig it undo everything in one ctrl-z would be really easy to do.
