Hi, I have not used sketchy physics in a while, but I am just getting re-aquainted.
I created a half cylinder for a car to rock back and forth in, but the car keeps falling through.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI sketchup version 8
Thanks,
Rick

RE: Printing problems
Thanks for sticking with me TIG. I have 2 screen shots, I think I have to do 2 replies, one for each attachment. here goes, looks like it took both. notice all the border around the model.
Thanks again,

RE: Printing problems
Sorry, been away. Fit to page does NOT fit to page. That is the issue. When changing the scale to TRY to fit the page it split into two pages.
Exporting to jpg works well. But that is not the problem. It's a good work around though.

RE: Printing problems
Thanks for the reply. Actually, although that seemed to work nicely, I just want to print to the printer with the model filling the page as close as possible. When getting the setting anywhere close to filling the page, it splits it into 2 pages even though it would obviously fit on one page.
The thing that bothers me the most is if I change the scale, the paper size changes. If I change the paper size, the scale changes! If I could swear here I would!!
Vent, vent , vent whew!Plus, I would still like to know how to change the size of the graphics window.

Printing problems
Hi, to start I am using sketchup (non pro) version 8.01 on windows 7.
I have read a lot of forums on this first but not much help. When trying to print to fill the page, don't care about scale, if I change my settings to anything even close to what might fit the page it automatically splits it into multiple pages. One suggestion was to resize the graphics window.Below is a quote from one of the forums. How do I do what he is suggesting? I really should not complain about something so amazing as sketchup when it is FREE! But not being able to print properly and easily is very frustrating. Too used to Acad I guess."What it tries to plot is the whole of your SU window so you need to drag the borders of the frame until the graphics window is the same aspect ratio as your paper. Then Print Preview dialog should show the paper size corresponding to what you have managed to achieve' Also, "Use Model Extents" actually gives you model extents plus a bit, so it's best not to use that if you are concerned about correct scale."
Thanks for your time,

Jumpy doors and stuck faucets
Hi folks, new project, new problems. My cabinet doors have plenty of clearance and yet they hang up a little and won't close. The thing I find most interesting is this: if you go to the top view with the layers top & rails turned off, zoom way in on the top left hinge. When the program starts, the doors actually move a little. Very annoying and maybe why my doors stick. If I remove all collision from the rails and stiles they seem fine, but even then the door seems to work it's way loose from the hinge.
Also I cannot figure out why my faucets won't turn.
I have a couple of sections set up to look at, or you could use "xray" mode to see the clearances.
Thanks,
RickPS Just got the faucets. I don't understand physics but changing the density to 2 on the faucets made them work.

Very nice, but an explanation of how you did it would be nice too.
Thanks,
