OK, found the problem; apparently the create material dialog was coming up way off screen. Still calling it a bug, since the trays migrate back to the main screen any time I turn my second monitor off, so why wouldn't a dialog do the same?

Have you tried selecting an instance of the original [unedited] component > right-click > context-menu > Reload... It should then re-import and use the edited 'external' version...

I'm having this same issue. Try to print to Bluebeam PDF. Monitors will just go black without warning. It's a graphics issue. I hit ENTER and I get the monitors up and running again. At that point I see an error window: NVIDIA OpenGL Driver The NVIDIA Open GL Driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue. the application must close. Um, could there be confusion about the fact that the texture position tool tiles the material over a plane, so that you can see how it will repeat/tile depending on where you position and scale it?

Did you visit Microsoft.com and try updating your VC package? I run Windows 10 and SketchUp 2016 and see no issues.

It's a shame that people report user errors as bugs. In the case of the palm tree example as uploaded in the OP's thread, the opacity of the material is set to 50. Shadows are only cast if the opacity is set to 70 or higher. It's always been that way. Space bar is very worn down. I have totally customized all of my keyboard shortcuts. For some reason I just always click this icon to 'clear' everything as I work. Weird I know but fighting a decade of habit. Rest All brought it back! Thanks BOX!!!

This happens a lot, with files that are on either of my internal drives, my 500GB SSD or my 1TB HD. The current file I'm having problems with is 58MB.

Using Sketchup 2015 for exporting an "animation set", I have encountered a pixel resolution limitation of 3840x2160. In previous versions of Sketchup, I was able to export animation sets with the same parameters available for exporting a 2D Graphic, which would be 9999x5653. When doing a finished animation, I routinely render at 3 or 4 times the desired resolution and then size the images down to a usable size such as 1920 x 1080. This process is essentially a poor man's anti aliasing. It would be great to have the full resolution capacity back in the Export> Animation> Image set routine!!!

Have you tried adjusting various combinations for your Graphics Card's settings in SketchUp's Preferences > OpenGL ? What is the card and what are its settings ? Has the card's driver updated recently ? What is your MAC's OS ? Has that updated recently ?

Have since tried switching all options off then one option at a time. Still no joy.

If the model was fine in 14 I can't see the problem apart from something in the code or OS X maybe even the hardware ??

I've seen a similar report. It emanates from the way it was installed initially. Try uninstalling, then freshly reinstalling v2015. This time do NOT double-click the icon for the installer's exe file - even if you have 'admin-powers' - instead you should select its icon > context-menu > 'Run as Admin...' That way it's installed proeprly. Another thing to do is after it's installed find the SketchUp.exe file in the Program Files, SketchUp folder and context-menu > Compatibility > 'Always run this program as an administrator' should always be ticked [you'll need 'admin-powers' to do that] PS: Please update your User Info to suit the version you end up using...

Is this because you are using Preview as the texture editor? I use GIMP--maybe this works with Yosemite? Albeit I am not using Yosemite.
