@pbacot said: Yes, Mike but it happens in this case a lot and I am pretry goood at typoiing otherwise. Sorry. That made me laugh. @pbacot said: It's possible typing "s" afterward helps some of the time. "s" shouldn't be necessary in Entity Info. It used to be required if you were making the adjustment before drawing a circle but it isn't anymore. When you are changing the setting in Entity Info, are you selecting the existing number and then just overtyping? Or are you selecting the existing value and deleting it before typing the new number?

So it helps make the tools like push-pull work. Though it seems pushpull knows what to do by the way you move the mouse. Doube-click push-pull wouldn't work but that sometimes gets confused as it is. I wondered if it was underlying CG principles. Some rendering programs know you have the wrong faces showing.

Yeah NTX! Sometimes one needs to review their workflow in detail, and it's a little much to ruminate on the forums.

There are a few plugins, I use Soften/Unsoften by cadfather but you can set a native shortcut. Just make sure you have something selected that included softenable edges when you go to the shortcuts menu, then you will find it as Edit/Item/Soften/Smooth Edges.

Thanks! I DID run without plugins and stripped down whatever I could, running a generic template file (then that file was added to my files that reload each time!) I would guess this is related to upgrading to High Sierra but it didn't happen until 2 weeks after that. So I decided, heck, finish the job and go to Mojave OS. Then that didn't help so I went to SU 2019. And after hanging on the first try, that looks pretty good. Now despite some crashes, 2016 closes OK... sometimes... after all that, what, can it heal itself??? After 3 years (versions) I have to say there ARE some nice changes piled up that look good for the Mac. AA is good now, it does seem a little snappier and smoother, and crashed files will not be loaded on restart supposedly. And they made it for Mojave. I like that they finally made the extensions manager into a sensible dialog window-- though after loading Sketchucation Tools I don't look at it much again.

Maybe this all gets resolved in 2019 Pro: Release notes 2019 Vector and Hybrid rendering in LayOut Fixed an issue where extra lines were seen when a section cut is coincident with a face when using Vector/Hybrid rendering in LayOut. Fixed an issue where extra lines were seen when extruded circles are cut along their center when using Vector/Hybrid rendering in LayOut. Fixed an issue where hidden divided edges on top of faces drew as if they were visible when using Vector/Hybrid rendering in LayOut. Fixed an issue where images incorrectly showed a border around them when using Vector/Hybrid rendering in LayOut. Fixed an issue where lines were missing when Vector rendering some plan view models in LayOut. Fixed an issue where extension lines were not drawn when using Vector/Hybrid rendering in LayOut.

As far as I know sketchup work best in Nvidia cards. New MacBook Pro STOP using Nvidia cards. I’ve been a Mac user for years and i am really disappointed about this. My next upgrade will be window platform moving forward to the future of computing! WHY? First I cannot use high end VR in Mac, Secondly real-time rendering Lumion windows only no Mac, Also I am an Enscape and Vray user. So for me I will move platform to use Nvidia cards. Cheers

Prior to SU2017 they used the browser supplied by the operating system so it's always been important to keep the OS-supplied browser up to date. That gets to be a problem when the OS is out of date and not getting supported anymore.

@klpauba said: I'm very happy with my "Dell Ultra HD 4k Monitor P2715Q 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor" ... under $400. But, then again, my eyes are old so it might not meet your specifications! So the 4k doesn't mean that icons and menus for plugins are too small? Do you use plugins like Thru-Paint? My criteria are mostly for lesser eye strain. I have 1080p 27"in now and while it's pretty good, I can see blurring and artifacts in some text and fine lines, and a fine grid of dots. Looking for something better in a monitor that may be with me for years to come.
