Looking to get a couple of nice monitors 30" plus monitors. Any recommendations? Will be running on Mac Book Pro.

I had a very nice DELL which was well over $1K--now not working well. Hoping I can spend less. I bought an LG 1080p 27" and it just isn't up to standards for using all day. Want to get to cleaner resolution and possibly more built-in resolution options. But so far I can't navigate the world of modern monitors. Even the DELL site is confusing.

Then there's the idea of using a TV, but I don't know the do's and don'ts for that either.

Since I will be using SketchUP I may want to steer clear of 4K etc. I suppose that would render plugins too small and lines too fine?

You guys probably know best what's needed... Like me, you probably spend most waking hours at the screen and need to see text clearly and deal with graphics from SU, CAD and rendering all the time, with minimal eye-strain.

I was looking into this last week. For me I think I would take the benq sw2700pt. Good résolution, very good and accurate colors, colorcalibrated from the factory, protection against the 'blue' light of the screen that seems the most damaging for your eyes,...

I personnally would take this one as my main job is to produce renders so coloraccuracy is a must. It depends on what you value most: design, price, colors, resolution,...

I'm very happy with my "Dell Ultra HD 4k Monitor P2715Q 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor" ... under $400. But, then again, my eyes are old so it might not meet your specifications!

So the 4k doesn't mean that icons and menus for plugins are too small? Do you use plugins like Thru-Paint?

My criteria are mostly for lesser eye strain. I have 1080p 27"in now and while it's pretty good, I can see blurring and artifacts in some text and fine lines, and a fine grid of dots. Looking for something better in a monitor that may be with me for years to come.
