the extension is profile builder 2. I installed it with great trouble, I was getting some errors and then I resolved them by removing some files. I don't exactly remember what I did but it was a tedious task to do. Therefore, I don't want to mess with this plugin and accidentally cause any trouble.

White objects required instead of blue
I want to get clear white colours in my renders for clay models. Unfortunately, vray is giving blue colour which looks bad.

I tried the fernandoβs method as illustrated in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPxtadpyM20%26amp;feature=youtu.bebut I am not getting the GI option in my maps.

I also tried to set the white balance in my camera as this

But still the result is not very good.

Please provide settings for white balance in camera settings.
I donβt want to go for a post processing option. I want to resolve this issue within sketchup itself to save time and energy. I fiddled with turbidity and ozone but still no success.

RE: Exporting a portion of view as 2d vector?
Thanks for the tips. I'll try these methods to fulfill my requirements.

Disable popup notification
How can I disable this notification popup in sketchup 2017 without making a firewall rule or disabling net access specifically to sketchup?

Copy them to another instance of SketchUp and export from there.
That wouldn't make a difference if I use another instance or the same instance of sketchup. The whole scene will get exported anyway. I'm not getting it.

You can do it with this http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30506
thanks. It works

Exporting a portion of view as 2d vector?
How can I export just the visible part of a shrub of which some portion is slightly hidden below, as an eps or a pdf file? Usually, I have to cover the unwanted surface with a white box. Is there any smarter or quicker way to do so?

Required - place components on vertices
Some years back I used component spray for placing components on a mesh's vertices. What free plugin allows me to this today? I tried make fur and ivy plugin but they don't have this feature.

My wife has been working in GIS for years, with ESRI. She recommends qGIS and thinks someone like me (with CAD background) might pick it up OK.
Thanks I will try this with qGIS.

Automatically adjust boundaries to predefined area
How can I make an enclosed pre specified area (say 1502 sqm.) in Sketchup in such a way that a curve remains fixed and if I move one line enclosing it then the other line moves automatically.?

There was a plug-in for Sketchup that did just that - try searching "Color by Slope". I haven't used it recently though. It paints surfaces according to their slopes. There is also a "Color by Height" variant. These might work for you.
I have tried sketchup but it never works out. Here, http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15%26amp;t=57167

GIS SOFTWARE recommendation reqd.
I need to generate slope analysis of a site very quickly using some GIS software. I am a novice when it comes to GIS. Google earth and grabbing a terrain in sketchup is the only thing that I have ever touched upon. These are some samples that I got.
I don't want a heavy duty bulky intimidating software. I just need to do this task. Kindly suggest a suitable solution for me. Moreover, that mesh is a vector linework that was generated.

Fastest way to download a collection from warehouse
I want a single button click solution to download collection of models from the warehouse. Currently I'm using the usual download-one-by-one-method. Long time back sketchup (when it was in 6 version) released their collections in the form of exe files which made the download and copying of collection models very fast and easy.
I want to download the following collections
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/collection.html?id=u788e2e15-92f6-4f06-96d9-4e3ddd02b861
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/collection.html?id=ubdae1caa-36e9-4541-b9ee-5d9c2cc6fe81
I want to download this collection having further collection

RE: Importing a 3d model from google earth into sketchup

I finally had a chance to look at the location in Google Eart. It appears the buildings were drawn in SketchUp after all. But the link provided to the model in GE is no longer valid. since they stopped accepting SketchUp models some time ago, it would indicate the model is old. I tried searching the 3D Warehouse for the listed authors but they don't seem to have a presence there. Contact google and maybe you'll have some luck.
Thanks, I will try it.

RE: OpenGL trouble or what?
@dave r said:
Interesting misconception. So if you won't try the 32-bit version of SketchUp, you should replace your graphics card with one that can properly handle OpenGL for 64-bit applications.
I use a laptop and getting a new graphics card would be an expensive affair for me.
Moreover, do you have any comments on the discussion held here in favor of AMD with respect to openGL support? I shared the link earlier too.

I was hoping you would clear my confusion.

Explain how it is "stronger" than 32-bit SketchUp.
Another alternative, then, is to replace the AMD Radeon card with an nVidia GeForce card. In contrast to the Radeon cards which are know to be deficient in their support for 64-bit OpenGL, the nVidia cards have a proven track record of good performance and support for OpenGL.
That's because I'm running 64 bit windows and SketchUp 64 bit will be able to take better advantage of 64 bit windows architecture as compared to 32 bit. This will help in better performance.
Moreover, if I have multiple software windows open, like Photoshop 64 bit, then windows will be able to allocate my 8GB RAM in a better way to both the software efficiently.

RE: OpenGL trouble or what?
Actually I'm adamant about solving this trouble once and for all because 64 bit is SketchUp is stronger than 32 bit.

Search for and delete anything called plays.tv or similar.
It is an application that was auto downloaded with a recent AMD update that makes SU crash.I have already done that. I did not find plays.tv at all even in program files folder for both 32 bit and 64 bit folders of program files. i.e. Program files and Program files (x86). I even removed Raptr app that comes bunched during amd radeon drivers.

OpenGL trouble or what?
I'm running Windows 8.1 (64 bit) on my Lenovo G500 laptop. It has AMD Radeon HD 8570 (2GB) graphics card, Intel integrated HD graphics, i5 processor, 500 GB SATA Hard disk and 8GB DDR3 RAM. My windows are up to date and sketchup version is 16.0.19912 (64 bit). If I update it to the recent version, it crashes everytime.
I am still facing crashes upon startup of sketchup although the frequency has drastically reduced. It is like, it will crash 1 out of 10 times unlike the last scenario (I was using the latest sketchup 2016-64 bit) in which it would always crash. In both scenarios, there are absolutely no extra plugins.
Here is my Open GL information

As per the discussion seen on this thread, AMD has support for openGL.

Not that I've seen. I don't think Google is making their 3D buildings available. You should contact Google about that.
Actually I wanted to download the model of Amity university from google earth. It has, of course, been uploaded by some user and not by google. But is it possible that he/she uploaded it on google earth without going to warehouse?
Here's the video how it opens up in google earth.
